What is happening?

West Sussex County Council

(Bognor Regis: High Street) (Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close High Street in Bognor Regis, from its junction with Upper Bognor Road to its junction with Gloucester Road. The road closure is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.

The Order will come into effect on 24 February 2025 and remain in force until 4 April 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Selsey: Bonnar Road & Coxes Road)

(Temporary Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Bonnar Road north and south of its junction with Coxes Road and Coxes Road east and west of its junction with Bonnar Road. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst gas mains replacement works are undertaken. The Order came into effect on 10 February 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on 10 February 2025 and will take 1 month to complete.

(Chichester: Kingsham Avenue)

(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time on both sides of Kingsham Avenue between No. 40 and No. 51. Parking and waiting is prohibited in this location to allow carriageway repairs to be undertaken. The Order will come into operation on 10 February 2025. It is anticipated the restriction will remain in place until 21 February 2025.
