Essex - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works

What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Coggeshall Road, Feering)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Feering in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 180m north east of its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 240m in a north easterly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th March 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA190KA160LT003-KEVEN – Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while remedial reinstatement works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

An alternative route is available via Coggeshall Road, The Street, Hanover Bridge, New Lane, London Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Manor Street, Braintree & Bocking)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Manor Street, Braintree and Bocking in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Trinovantian Way for a distance of approximately 195m in a north westerly direction to its end. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th March 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2380002 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Ranks Green Road, Fairstead)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ranks Green Road, Fairstead in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 200m north west of its junction with Fairstead Lodge Road for a distance of approximately 185m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KA140RFSI1809378 – RC - Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while chamber installation works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

An alternative route is available via Ranks Green Road, Fairstead Road, Fairstead Hall Road, Braintree Road, Fuller Street, Boreham Road, Mill Lane, Ranks Green Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Church Road, Hatfield Peverel)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Maldon Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231012340 – Blade Traffic Management Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public while portable cabin delivery works are undertaken by Blade Traffic Management Ltd.

An alternative route is available via Church Road, Remembrance Avenue, New Road, Maldon Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 30th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Courtauld Road, Braintree & Bocking)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Courtauld Road, Braintree and Bocking in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Coggeshall Road-Railway Street to a point approximately 305m in a north westerly direction.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 33 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001391388 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.

The closure is required for the safety of the public while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

An alternative route is available via Courtauld Road, Bradford Street, Broad Road, Braintree Bypass, Coggeshall Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 30th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
