(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Bedford Borough Council on the 31st July 2020, extended on 4th February 2021, 28th January 2022, 3rd January 2023 and 2nd January 2024 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the length of Turvey Part of footpath No A4 which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OS GR) SP 9568 5202 to (OS GR) SP 9579 5185 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 9th February 2026.
This closure is required for construction works to continue site. The closure will continue from Monday 10th February 2025 for a period of one year.
There will be a minor diversion on site, please refer to site plan.
The Order will come into operation on 10th February 2025 for a period not exceeding one year or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to footpath have been completed, whichever is the earlier. (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Order made by Bedford Borough Council on 2nd August 2024 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on horseback or lead a horse along Cardington Bridleway No 2 and Cople Bridleway No 14, which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference OS GR TL 1057 4711 to OS GR TL 1120 4535 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 9th August 2025.
This closure is required due to holes in the surface of the bridleway caused by animals. The closure will continue from Sunday 9th February 2025 for a period of six months.
There is no alternative route for users while the closure is in place. The Order will come into operation on 9th February 2025 for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out on or near to the bridleways have been completed, whichever is the earlier. If the works are not completed within six months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
