A308 Staines Bridge and D3137 The Hythe, Egham Temporary Traffic Management Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 

1. Prohibit all traffic including cyclists and pedestrians, from entering or proceeding in that length of:- 

a) The eastbound carriageway comprised within the northern arm of D3137 The Hythe Egham that extends from its junction with A308 Staines Bridge, for a distance of 30m. 

b) That length of D3137 The Hythe Egham that is comprised within the cycle lane that extends between the northern arm of D3137 The Hythe Egham and the northern side of the roundabout. Cyclists will be required to dismount and follow the footway. 

2. Prohibit vehicular traffic travelling southeast on A308 Staines Bridge, Egham from turning right upon reaching the junction with the northern arm of D3137 The Hythe Egham. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement and/or connection and/or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures and banned turn which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative route:- Staines Bridge, Chertsey Lane and The Hythe.


A308 Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 

1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that part of the length of A308 Staines Road West, Sunbury on Thames that is comprised within the 3m wide bus lane (adjacent to the eastbound carriageway of A308 Staines Road West) and extends from the south-western property boundary of “No.79 Staines Road West”, to the south-western property boundary of “No.45-49 Staines Road West”. 

2. “The Surrey County Council (A308) Staines Road West (Part) (Sunbury) (Bus Lane) Order 2004” shall be suspended in its entirety. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement and/or connection and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 5 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.


B2130 Elmbridge Road and D182 Alfold Road, Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 “the Act”, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- 

a) B2130 Elmbridge Road, Cranleigh that extends from the northern side of its junction with Essex Drive, to the southern side of its junction with D683 Lashmere. 

b) D182 Alfold Road, Cranleigh that extends from its junction with B2130 Elmbridge Road, to the northern side of its junction with Little Mead. This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out highway improvements and associated signing and/or lining and/or highway treatments and/or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 10 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures which are anticipated to be required in sections, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

The temporary closure in a) B2130 Elmbridge Road, Cranleigh is anticipated to be required between the hours of 9:30am and 4pm, for 5 days. 

The temporary closure in b) D182 Alfold Road, Cranleigh is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, for 10 days. 

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the alternative routes described below.

Alternative routes:- a) Westbound traffic will be diverted from the eastern end of closure via Elmbridge Road, The Common, High Street, Horsham Road, Cox Green, Church Street, A281 Guildford Road, A281 Horsham Road and Elmbridge Road. 

Eastbound traffic will be diverted from the western end of closure via the reverse of the route described above. 

b) Northbound traffic will be diverted from the southern end of closure via Alfold Road and then via the diversion route described above. 

Note – Access for emergency services will be provided through the restriction when operations permit and when safe to do so.


D851 Envis Way, Fairlands – Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, cyclists and equestrians from entering or proceeding in that length of D851 Envis Way, Fairlands – Guildford that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D851 Wallace Close, to the southern side of its junction with D851 “Louis Fields Roundabout”. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable UK Power Networks to carry out electrical connection and/or maintenance works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 9 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 15 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: – Envis Way, Louis Fields, Brocks Drive and Envis Way.


C31 New Road, Wormley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of C31 New Road, Wormley. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Plus to carry out service installations and/or connections and/or maintenance works in C31 New Road, Wormley between the south-western property boundary of “Idle Acre”, to the south-eastern property boundary of “Tigbourne Wood”. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9am and 6pm within 4 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, equestrians, cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative route: – New Road, A283 Petworth Road, Combe Lane and New Road.


Peaslake Road (D222) Ewhurst Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 31 January 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Peaslake Road (D222) Ewhurst between the junction with the Duke of Kent School and a point 110 metres south of this junction. 

Alternative Route: Peaslake Road, Pitch Hill, Lawbrook Lane, Walking Bottom, Ewhurst Road and Peaslake Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to enable Network Plus to facilitate connection of metered water supply and all associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.


Pickhurst Road (C34) Chiddingfold Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 31 January 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pickhurst Road (C34) Chiddingfold between Pockford Road (D162) and High Street Green (C34); (b) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Pickhurst Road (C34) Chiddingfold between High Street Green (C34) and Shillinglee Park Road (D160); and (c) suspend “The Surrey County Council D160 Pickhurst Road, Chiddingfold (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024” insofar as it relates to the length of carriageway in (b). Alternative Route: (a) High Street Green, Chiddingfold Road, Plaistow Road, Dunsfold Road, Shillinglee Road, A283 (Cripplecrutch Hill and Petworth Road), The Green and Pickhurst Road, or this route in reverse; and (b) Shillinglee Park Road, Plaistow Road, Shillinglee Road, A283 (Cripplecrutch Hill and Petworth Road), The Green and Pickhurst Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to enable Network Plus Services Ltd and Connect It Utility Services to facilitate utilty and all associated works. 

These works will be broken down into two phases, with the first anticipated to be carried out between 18 February 2025 to 21 February 2025 and the second phase to be carried out between 4 March 2025 and 6 March 2025, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.


Portsmouth Road (A3100) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of Portsmouth Road (A3100) Guildford as extends from its junction with (D4016) The Mount to its junction with (D4016) Bury Street. 

Alternative Route: (1) (A3100) Portsmouth Road, (A3100) Park Street, (A322) Farnham Road, (A322) Bridge Street, (A322) Onslow Street, (A281) Millbrook, (A281) Quarry Street, (A281) Shalford Road, (A281) The Street, (A281) Horsham Road, (A248) Broadford Road, (A3100) Old Portsmouth Road, and (A3100) Portsmouth Road; (2) (A3100) Portsmouth Road, (A3100) Old Portsmouth Road, (A248) Broadford Road, (A281) Horsham Road, (A281) The Street, (A281) Shalford Road, (A281) Quarry Street, (A281) Millbrook, Onslow Street, (A3100) Park Street, and (A3100) Portsmouth Road. 

This Order is required to facilitate the removal of a tower crane for, or on behalf of J & G Traffic Ltd. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 7am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic, including emergency service vehicles, will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.


Raymond Crescent (D4019) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Raymond Crescent (D4019) Guildford.

Alternative Route: Raymond Crescent and St Johns Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new electrical connection works for, or on behalf of UKPN. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.


More Lane (D6898) and Mill Road (D6900) Esher Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; 

(a) More Lane (D6898) Esher as extends from its junction with (X5266) Brooklands Gardens to its junction with (D6900) Mill Road; and 

(b) Mill Road (D6900) Esher as extends from its junction with (D6898) More Lane to its junction with (D6900) Farm Road. 

Alternative Route: Farm Road, Douglas Road, Woodend, Lower Green Road, and More Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate bridge inspection works for, or on behalf of Network Rail. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night, between the hours of 9pm and 5am, during the 18-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Hanworth Road (D6227) Sunbury On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; 

(a) Hanworth Road (D6227) Sunbury On Thames as extends from its junction with (X2054) Sundeala Close to its junction with (A316) Hanworth Road Slip Road; 

(b) Hanworth Road (D6227) Sunbury On Thames as extends from its junction with (A308) Staines Road East and for a distance of 90 metres in a south easterly direction along Hanworth Road; and 

(c) Suspend “The Borough of Spelthorne (Park Road, Sunbury) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1998” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in this Notice. 

Alternative Route: (A308) Staines Road East, and Park Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate remedial reinstatement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.

Station Road (D5411) Farncombe Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of Station Road (D5411) Farncombe as extends from its junction with (D98) Farncombe Street to its junction with (D5411) North Street. 

Alternative Route: Farncombe Street, Summers Road, Bourne Road, and Station Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate gas disconnection works for, or on behalf of Total Utility Connections. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times. 

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.


Ash Street and Ash Church Road (A323) Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Ash Street (A323) Ash; and (b) that length of Ash Church Road (A323) Ash as extends from its junction with (A323) Ash Street to its junction with (A323) Guildford Road. 

Alternative Route: (1) (A323) Aldershot Road, (B3206) Shawfield Road, (B3411) Ash Hill Road, and (A323) Guildford Road; Alternative Route (2) For HGV: (A323) Guildford Road, (A323) Aldershot Road, (A322) Aldershot Road, (A25) Dennis Roundabout, (A3) Guildford – Godalming By-Pass, (A31) Hogs Back, (A31) Runfold Diversion, (A331) Blackwater Vally Road, and (A323) Aldershot Road. 

This Order is required to facilitate construction and build out provisions of bus shelters, bollards and new road marking works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 weeks, between the hours of 7am and 7pm, within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 17 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only, access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for residents and businesses and they will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.


Lyne Lane (C126) Egham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of Lyne Lane (C126) Egham as extends from its junction with (B389) Green Road and for a distance of 440 metres in a southerly direction along Lyne Lane. 

Alternative Route: (B389) Green Road, (B388) Mill House Lane, (B388) Thorpe Road, (A320) Chuisey Green Road, (A320) Pyrcroft Road, (A320) Bell Bridge Road, (A320) Guildford Road, (B386) Holloway Hill, Hardwick Lane, Lyne Crossing Road, and Lyne Lane, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate renewal of Vehicle Restraint System works and/or other associated works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 21 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.


D158 Killinghurst Lane, Chiddingfold Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D158 Killinghurst Lane, Chiddingfold that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D157 West End Lane, eastward for 50m. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Morrison Utility Services to carry out excavations and/or installations and/or water mains connection and/or maintenance works on behalf of Thames Water. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

No sole access to property will be affected however access for residents, businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route: – Cripplecrutch Hill, Rodgate Lane, Petworth Road and Killinghurst Lane.


Kings Lane (D3113) Englefield Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 05 February 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kings Lane (D3113) Englefield Green which extends from its junction with Larchwood Drive (D3113) for 80m in a westwards direction.

Alternative Route – Kings Lane (D3113), Wick Lane (D3112), Bishopsgate Road (D3111), The Green (D3111), Barley Mow Road (D3126), St Judes Road (A328) and Bond Street (D3120) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 February 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.


Churchfield Road (D3809) Walton-On-Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Churchfield Road (D3809) Walton-On-Thames as extends from its junction with High Street (D3809) to its junction with Highfield Road (D3811).

Alternative Route – Guildford Road, Egley Road (A320) and Guildford Road.

The Order is required to allow Affinity Water to carry out water main repairs and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents within the closure, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.


The Footway from Drummond Road (D4005) to George Road (D4005) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in the entire length of the local access footway from Drummond Road (D4005) to George Road (D4005) Guildford. 

Alternative Route: Drummond Road, Artillery Terrace and George Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate essential gas works which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 9am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.


Victoria Avenue (D6951) West Molesey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: 

(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Victoria Avenue (D6951) West Molesey as extends from the south-eastern property boundary of “Nos.1-40 Thames Courts”, northwards to its (northern) junction with D6952 Buckingham Gardens access to garages; and 

(b) prohibit the use of the footway adjacent to this length of road.

Alternative Route for footway closure – footway on the other side of the road.
The Order is required to allow KTL to carry out a crane lift and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 6 days over two phases, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 3 March 2025. 

Under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.


Townpath (T11089) from 45 Latimer Road to Busbridge Tennis Courts, Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from entering or proceeding on foot or by any other means in that length of the Townpath (T11089) from 45 Latimer Road to Busbridge Tennis Courts, Godalming. 

Alternative Route: Latimer Road, Summerhouse Road, Butts Lane, Croft Road, Latimer Road, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to facilitate retaining wall works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 weeks, during the 6-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 3 March 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.


Scotland Lane (D5524) Haslemere Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025 

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Scotland Lane (D5524) Haslemere between Denbeigh Road (D5526) and its junctions with Haste Hill (5524). 

Alternative Route: Scotland Lane, A286 (Midhurst Road, Shepherd’s Hill and High Street), B2131 (Petworth Road) and Haste Hill, or this route in reverse. 

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate repair and maintenance works and all associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 4 March 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.


Guildford Road (A281) and Hillhouse Lane (D185) Alfold Temporary Speed Limit Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to: 

1. impose a 40mph speed limit on – (a) Guildford Road (A281) between a point 10 metres east of the entrance into the properties known as “White Lea” (the point at which the national speed limit starts and ends) and a point 11 metres east of the centreline of the junction with Hillhouse Lane (the Surrey/West Sussex boundary); and 

(b) Hillhouse Lane between a point 225 metres north-east of its junction with Guildford Road and its junction with Guildford Road; and 2. impose a 30mph speed limit on – 

(a) Guildford Road (A281) between the western boundary of the property known as “2 Coronation Cottages” and a point 11 metres east of the centreline of the junction with Hillhouse Lane (the Surrey/West Sussex boundary); and 

(b) Hillhouse Lane between a point 125 metres north-east of its junction with Guildford Road and its junction with Guildford
