What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH ST STEPHEN 77

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath St Stephen 77, heading northwest from junction with Orchard Drive, for an approximate distance of 70m.

Alternative route: via Orchard Drive, St Stephen 075, Tippendade Lane and footbridge to Driftwood Avenue.

The purpose of the Order is to enable development works to take place.

The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 07 February 2025 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE UPLANDS, BRICKET WOOD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Uplands, Bricket Wood from a point in line with the western boundary of No.14 The Uplands south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via The Uplands, Old Watford Road, Broad Acre, Jenkins Avenue and The Uplands.

The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 24 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
