What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Hall Estate, Goldhanger)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Estate, Goldhanger in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 85m south east of its junction with Maldon Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd March 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC3001082187 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Little Baddow Road, Woodham Walter)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Little Baddow Road, Woodham Walter in the District of Maldon, from its junction with The Street to its junction with Bassetts Lane a distance of approximately 1600m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th March 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2379459 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via The Street, Rectory Road, West Bowers Road, Bassetts Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 13th February 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway)

Order (No.2) 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Maldon & City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.

  2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 13th February 2025, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the extent of and dates via letterleaf drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

  2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5T weight restriction on North Road/Back Road, Tollesbury & Chapel Road, Tollesbury/Tolleshunt D’arcy as cited in "The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Tollesbury, Tolleshunt D’arcy and Tolleshunt Knights) (Weight Restriction) Order 2001" for the duration of the closures only.

  3. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway as per schedules 1 & 2 for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ship Road, Burnham-on-Crouch in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Orchard Road to its junction with High Street, a distance of approximately 200m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 25 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30096218625 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ulting Lane, Langford in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Hatfield Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south-westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2374815 – Essex County Council).
