Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.


Temporary Road Closure Order On Drewry Lane, Temporary Parking Bay Suspension Order Talbot Street, Derby

WHEN: 24 February 2025 - 07 March 2025 

WHERE: Drewry Lane, from its junction with Talbot Street to its Junction with Dunkirk. Talbot Street, Suspension of the entire parking bays. 

REASON: Electrical works 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Dunkirk – Monk Street – Werburgh Street – Bakewell Street – Drewry Lane and Drewry Lane – Peet Street – Uttoxeter New Road – Mercian Way – Abbey Street – Stockbrook Street – Monk Street – Dunkirk.


Temporary Road Closure Order On Albert Street, Victoria Street, Derby

WHEN: 03 March 2025 - 07 March 2025 (20:00 to 05:00 Daily – Overnight) 

WHERE: Albert Street, from its junction with Victoria Street to its junction with Morledge and Tennant Street. Victoria Street, from its junction with Albert Street to its junction with the Wardwick 

REASON: Construction work 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cheapside – Bold Lane – Jury Street – Walker Lane – Cathedral Road – Ford Street (A601) – Stafford Street – Mercian Way – Lara Croft Way – Bradshaw Way – Traffic Street – Morledge


Temporary Road Closure Order On Redshaw Street, Derby

WHEN: 26 February 2025 - 28 February 2025 

WHERE: Redshaw Street, from its junction with Watson Street to No 26. An approximate distance of 60 metres. 

REASON: Water works 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Redshaw Street – Kedleston Road – Cowley Street – Watson Street and the same in the opposite direction.
