SACKVILLE STREET, BARNSLEY AND PINFOLD STEPS FOOTPATH
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order has been made to close the following roads from 9 February 2025 for approximately one day.
• Sackville Street from the junction of Westgate to John Rideal House car park
• Pinfold Steps footpath from Sackville Street to Shambles Street
Reason: Building maintenance works

HIGHAM COMMON ROAD,
HERMIT LANE, HIGHAM
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES
An order has been made to close the below roads, from 10th February 2025 for approximately 5 days.
• Higham Common Road, Higham – Temporary road closure from Hermit Lane to M1 Bridge. An alternative route is available via Higham Common Road, Barugh Green Road, Wilthorpe Road, Huddersfield Road, Old Mill Lane, Harborough Hill Road, Westway, Dodworth Road, Whinby Road, Higham Lane.
• Hermit Lane, Higham – Temporary road closure from outside No.5 to Higham Common Road. An alternative route is available via Hermit Lane, Church Street, Redbrook Road, Barugh Green Road, Higham Common Road.
Reason: Carriageway surfacing works

An order has been made to close Dearne Hall Road (back road) from No.82 to No.114 from 10th February 2025 for approximately 5 days.

An order will be made to close the full length of Birk Avenue, from Redhill Avenue to Hunningley Lane, from 17 February 2025 for approximately five days (daytime only)

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
An order will be made to close Manchester Road B6099 for a distance of 20 metres either side of railway crossing, from 11pm on 15 February 2025 until 7am on 16 February 2025.
Reason: Level crossing access

An order will be made to close Barnsley Road from Doncaster Road to Strawbridges Garden Centre, on 17th February 2025 for one night between 19:00 and 06:00.
Reason: Repair damaged telecoms ducts

TEMPORARY ONE-WAY RESTRICTION
An order has been made to introduce a temporary one-way restriction on Highgate Lane allowing traffic to travel from William Street to Barnsley Road only, from 10th February 2025 for approximately one night, between 19:00 – 06:00.
Reason: Renew cover and frame
