What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Bicester, B4100 Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 24/2/2025 Coming into force: 3/3/2025

This Order is being introduced because of road improvements - signage and surfacing works which are anticipated to take until 23 March 2025 to complete, working 20:00 - 06:00hours. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the whole length of B4100 - Bicester to Baynards Green. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative route for traffic is via the A4095, A4421, A43 and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T14959/RMF)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Steeple Barton, Restricted Byway 27 (365/27/10) Closure Date of closure: 22 January 2025 Date of Order: 3 February 2025 Coming into force: 12 February 2025

This Order continues in force a closure by emergency notice on 22 January 2025 and is introduced to enable the replacement of a missing bridge structure. The timescale for completion is as yet unknown due to the need for financial prioritising of such works. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily that part of Restricted Byway 27 (365/27/10) south of the B4030 west of Bartongate, as is carried by a footbridge over a water course.

Exemptions are included for emergency services, for Works and for pedestrian access to property which is only accessible from the closed section of Byway. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

The order will remain in force initially for 6 months and may be extended with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport. (Ref: RAG/T15195)
