Chedworth, Temporary Footpath Closure Due To Drainage Works
What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH KCH 66 (CHEDWORTH PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) the Public Footpath KCH 66 in the Parish of Chedworth, from its junction with Cheap Street, extending in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 100 metres to its junction with 400917 Fields Road to Cheap Street.
The said closure is necessary to protect the public whilst essential drainage works are undertaken. The said Order will come into force on the 1st February 2025 and the said footpath may be closed up until 1st August 2025 or until the said works are completed whichever is earlier. After this date, if the closure is still required, it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
Alternative Route: an alternative route will be available as shown on the map with a black dashed line A to D to C to B. Emergency Service access and pedestrian access to adjoining premises will be maintained.
