What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S –
PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below. The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.
The Order/s came into force on 10 th February 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4194 Kinlet
Date & Duration: 16th February 2025 for 1 day between 08:00 to 18:00
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Lay duct in verge and carriageway
Alternative Route : B4194, B4199, B4363
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Broome Road, Aston on Clun
Date & Duration: 16th February 2025 from 08:00 to 06:00 17th February 2025
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water - Small Hydrant Install
Alternative Route : B4368, B4367, B4369
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4214 Clee Hill Road between Burford and Clee Hill
Date & Duration: 16th February 2025 from 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-road closure required for pole testing work

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Harriss Green, Broseley
Date & Duration: 11th February 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Virgin Media/Svella -Excavation in footway to install pole bend

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road at Inch Murrin, end of Green Lane, Ifton Heath
Date & Duration: 10th February 2025 for 1 day between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Install x 2 poles
Alternative Route : Cottage Lane, B5068, B5069, Church Lane
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Love Lane, Cleobury Mortimer
Date & Duration: 15th February 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent water Sluice Valve Rebuild chamber
Alternative Route : Love Lane, Langland Road, Ronhill Lane, The Hurst, Childe Road
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Lower Road, Myddle
Date & Duration: 10th February 2025 for 7 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Test, rod and rope, cabling and subduct works.
Alternative Route : Lower Road, Higher Road, A528
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Mill Lane, Broseley
Date & Duration: 10th February 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure-Virgin Media/Svella -Excavation in carriageway to install pole bend and clear blockage
Alternative Route : Harriss Green, Woodhouse Road, Unnamed road West
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Mill Lane, Higher Heath
Date & Duration: 10th February 2025 for 12 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Construction of new footway

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Rhyn Lane, St Martins
Date & Duration: 10th February 2025 for 2 days between 09:00 to 16:00
Purpose: install 12 marker posts

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A5, Telford Boundary to Crackley
BankDate & Duration: 10th February 2025 for 12 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Extensive roadside Ash trees to remove

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road Marton to Rorrington
Date & Duration: 10th February 2025 for 8 days between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Install new gabion baskets
Alternative Route : Unnamed road North West, B4386, Unnamed road East through Wotherton andtowards Rorrington, Unnamed road North
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road at Stanlow crossroads, Pattingham
Date & Duration: 10th February 2025 for 5 days between 08:00 to 17:00
Purpose: Capital resurfacing scheme.
Alternative Route : Patshull Road, Chesteron Road, Unnamed road North Or Patshull Road,Chesterton Road, B4176, Unnamed road North East Or Patshull Road, Unnamed road North,Unnamed road East, Unnamed road South East
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Warrant Road, Stoke Heath
Date & Duration: 12th February 2025 for 6 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Side out footway where width is less than 1m, cutting back overgrowth on footway.
Alternative Route : A41, Rosehill Road, Unnamed road South West to Stoke on Tern, Warrant Road
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Sandy Lane, Hinstock
Date & Duration: 11th February 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Defect reinstatement.

Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach -road closure required for pole testing

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed Road and Forton Heath, Broomfields
Date & Duration: 10th February 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, lead removal service to properties as part of green recovery scheme.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road between Upper Farmcote and Claverley

Purpose: Road Closure - Provide new pole in verge

Purpose: Road Closure due to flooding and repairs needed

Purpose: Road Closure - Install overhead fibre cable

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 16th February 2025 between 10:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, replace defective manhole cover.
Alternative Route : Beeches Lane, Town Walls, Murivance, St Chads Terrace, Claremont Bank, Lower Claremont Bank
Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Dinham, Ludlow
Date & Duration: 16th February 2025 from 08:00 to 06:00 17th February 2025
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent water -Small Washout Install
Alternative Route : Middlewood Road, Whitcliffe Road, Ludford Bridge, Temeside, Old Street ,Bullring, King Street and Castle Street or Mill Street, Bell Lane, Brand Lane, Old Street, Ludford Bridge, Whitcliffe road, Middlewood road
