What is happening?

Temporary Road Closures
Pelham Street

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has made an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. 

Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

Road Closed To Vehicles For Utility Works.

Pelham Street, to be closed from the junction of Brompton Road to the junction of Pelham Place.

To be closed from 08.00hrs on Monday 10th February 2025 until Friday 14th March 2025, with backup dates of Monday 17th February 2025 until Friday 21st March 2025, or until the works are complete.

Diverted through traffic may use Brompton Road, Thurloe Place, Cromwell Place, Old Brompton Road, Pelham Street, in both directions or Pelham Street, Old Brompton Road, Onslow Square, Sydney Place, Fulham Road, Pelham Street.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
