(LEEDS ROAD, GLASSHOUGHTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 27) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to allow annual level crossing test to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leeds Road, Glasshoughton, 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leeds Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Leeds Road, Bruce Smeaton Way, Cutsyke Road, Aketon Road, Leeds Road and vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th February 2025 at 22:30 hours until 11th February 2025 at 05:30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 31) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to replace traffic lights at level crossing to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: High Street, Castleford, 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of High Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Lumley Street, A639, A6082, Methley Road, Wood Street, Albion Street & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 8th February 2025 at 23.00 hours to 9th February 2025 at 09.00 hours and again on 15th February 2025 at 23.00 hours to 16th February 2025 at 09.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for A1 improvement works to be carried out as follows:-
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Ackworth Road & Purston Lane, Ackworth. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed lengths of Ackworth Road & Purston Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wrangbrook Lane, Doncaster Road, Hemsworth A1 Link Road, Sprockhoeval Way, Hemsworth Bypass, Pontefract Road, Barnsley Road, Pontefract Road, Ackworth Road, Mill Hill Road, Southgate, South Baileygate, Bondgate, Knottingley Road, A162.
ORDER TO BE TEMPORARILY REVOKED: West Yorkshire Metropolitan County Council (Traffic Regulation) No.9 Order 2009, the section relating to A628, B6421, Ackworth Road /Purston Lane.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th February 2025 to 24th February 2025, 20.00 hours to 06.00 hours nightly or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible
(WENT EDGE ROAD, WENTBRIDGE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 33) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for a weight restriction on the bridge due to temporary propping of the structure during pier replacement works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Went Edge Road, Wentbridge for approximately 100 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Went Edge Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Went Edge Road, Wentbridge Lane, A1 northbound, Escourt Road, A1 sliproad, A1 southbound to North Yorkshire boundary. A1 southbound, Woodfield Road, A639 Doncaster Road, Pontefract Road, A1 northbound, Wentbridge Lane.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th February 2025 to 27th June 2025 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(MIREY BUTT LANE, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 38) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to renew chamber & cover to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Mirey Butt Lane, Knottingley, outside number 13 Mirey Butt Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Mirey Butt Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Simpsons Lane, Sycamore Avenue, Mirey Butt Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th February 2025 at 08.00 hours to 28th February 2025 at 18.00 hours or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 39) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to allow CCTV works and lining of water pipes to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Beech Drive, Ackworth. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Beech Drive.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 24th February 2025 to 7th March 2025 08.00 hours to 17.00 hours daily or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SANDYGATE LANE, ACKWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 40) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to install telecoms mast to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Sandygate Lane, Ackworth for approximately 17.2 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Sandygate Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Sandygate Lane, Water Lane, Station Road, Long Lane, Pontefract Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 25th February 2025 to 27th February 2025 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest. Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
