Various Locations, Tollerton - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Gas Mains Replacement Works
What is happening?
The Nottinghamshire County Council
(Various Locations, Tollerton) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (R25-037)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Tollerton in the Borough of Rushcliffe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Tollerton Lane, Tollerton - From its junction Burnside Grove in a north easterly direction for 300 metres.
b. Burnside Grove, Tollerton - From its junction with Tollerton Lane in a westerly direction for 30 metres.
c. Medina Drive, Tollerton - From its junction with Tollerton Lane in a westerly direction for 30 metres.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 08:00 hours Monday 17th February 2025 Until 17:00 hours Monday 19th May 2025.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Tollerton Lane, Tollerton - Cotgrave Lane - Cotgrave Road - Melton Road and vice versa.
b. Burnside Grove, Tollerton - Stanstead Avenue - Melton Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 17th February 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works.
