Northumberland, Temporary Road Closure Due To Pole Testing Works

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -

SECTION 14(1) U8174 BEAUFRONT WOODHEAD FARM TO STAGSHAW BANK SANDHOE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8174 Beaufront Woodhead Farm To Stagshaw Bank Sandhoe from its junction with the A68 heading south westwards for a distance of 860 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 13th February 2025 until the 21st February 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 13th February 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st February 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the A68, U8186, U8174 and vice-versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Sunbelt Rentals to carry out pole tests. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
