Castle Street - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Flood Alleviation Project
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE CASTLE STREET, MELBOURNE
WHEN: 24 February to 26 February 2025.
WHERE: Castle Street, Melbourne from its Jct. with Potter Street or an approx. distance of 60m south.
REASON: To facilitate trial holes for flood alleviation project.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Castle Street, Church Street, Market Place, Potter Street and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
