Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 6 February 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BARBURY COURT, GIFFARD PARK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2096)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Barbury Court, Giffard Park, outside Number 27 for approximately 30 meters eastbound, to enable Openreach to install new duct within the carriageway.
The temporary restriction will take effect on 18th February 2025 (Between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm).
Access will be maintained throughout the closure.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY FS01 (PART), FULLERS SLADE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2127)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit members of the public from entering, waiting or proceeding along Redway FS01, Fullers Slade, from its junction with Weavers Hill for a distance of 160 metres in an easterly direction, to enable Milton Keynes City Council to undertake resurfacing works.
The temporary closure will take effect from 18th February 2025 to 04th March 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of redway is closed the alternative route for pedestrians will be via the footpaths on Slade Lane and Shearmans (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY WMES02 (PART), WOLVERTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2108)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit members of the public from entering, waiting or proceeding along Redway WMES02, Wolverton, from its junction with Redway GS01 for a distance of 60 metres in a northerly direction, to enable Southern Gas Network to undertake the replacement of a gas mains.
The temporary closure will take effect from 17th February to 25th April 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Alternative routes for pedestrians will be provided throughout the closure.
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MELFORT DRIVE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2121)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Melfort Drive, Bletchley, from its junction with Burnmoor Close to its junction with Dunvegan Close, to enable AIS Utilities to carry out works to install ducts to supply a new development.
The temporary restriction will take effect from 17th to 21st February 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the closure is in place there will be no alternative route, however access to properties will be maintained where possible.
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GORAN AVENUE, STONY STRATFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2104)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Goran Avenue, Stony Stratford, from number 13 to number 17, to enable National Grid to carry out works to connect a NGED LV main connection.
The temporary restriction will take effect from 17th to 21st February 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Milford Avenue and Claremont Avenue (and vice versa).
Access to properties will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
PUBLIC NOTICE 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN CASTLETHORPE, HANSLOPE, HAVERSHAM AND GAYHURST) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2106)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of road, to enable Granemore Group to lay duct in the carriageway.
1) Castlethorpe Road, Hanslope, from its junction with Rainbow Rise to its junction with Pierrepoint Way.
The temporary restriction will take effect from 17th to 23rd February 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Gold Street, Park Road, Bullington End, Wolverton Road, North Street, Hanslope Road, Castlethorpe Road (and vice versa).
2) Wolverton Road and Bullington End, Castlethorpe, from its junction with Bartholomew Farm to its junction with Leamington Farm.
The temporary restriction will take effect from 24th February to 04th March 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Wolverton Road, North Street, Hanslope Road, Castlethorpe Road, Gold Street, Park Road (and vice versa).
3) Wolverton Road, Haversham, to Parish Boundary, at its junction with Pineham House
The temporary restriction will take effect on 05th March 2025 (24 hours).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Bullington End, Hanslope Park Road, Tathall End, Hanslope Road, Newport Road, Haversham Road, High Street, Wolverton Road (and vice versa).
4) Tathall End, Hanslope, from its junction with Newport Way to its junction with M1 Bridge.
The temporary restriction will take effect from the 06th to 10th March 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Park Road, Gold Street, Long Street Road, Park Road, Forest Road, Eakley Lanes, B526, High Street, Newport Road (and vice versa).
5) Higham Cross Road, Hanslope, from its junction with Hartwell Road to its junction with Carnaby Cottage.
The temporary restriction will take effect from the 11th to 20th March 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Park Higham Cross Road, Bozenham Mill Lane, Hartwell Road, Ashton Road, Park Road, Hartwell Road, (and vice versa).
6) Pindon End, Hanslope, from its junction with Pindon Cottage to its junction with Pindon Manor Farm.
The temporary restriction will take effect from the 21 to 24 March 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Park Higham Cross Road, Bozenham Mill Lane, Hartwell Road, Ashton Road, Park Road, Hartwell Road, (and vice versa).
7) Hartwell Road, Hanslope, from its junction with 64A Hartwell Road to its junction with Mission Hall.
The temporary restriction will take effect from 25th to 28th March 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Hartwell Road, Park Road, Forest Road, Wootton Road, Forest Road (and vice versa).
8) Hanslope Road, Gayhurst, from its junction with Bunsty Wood to its junction with Newport Road.
The temporary restriction will take effect from 31st March to 02nd April 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Newport Road, Haversham Road, Little Linford Lane to Haversham High Street, High Street, Wolverton Road, Bullington End, Hanslope Park Road, Tathall End, Hanslope Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BRICKHILL STREET (PART), BOW BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (No.2) (Reference TTRO-2087)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Brickhill Street, Milton Keynes, from its junction with Tilbrook Roundabout to its junction with Station Road, to enable CityFibre to undertake ‘Fibre To The Home’ works.
The temporary restriction will take effect from 19th to 21st February 2025 (Between the hours of 09:30am and 16:30pm).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via A5 and Bletcham Way (and vice versa).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 4 February 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 8:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STATION ROAD (PART), BOW BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2093)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Station Road, Bow Brickhill, between its junctions with Greenways, to enable CityFibre to carry essential works on the highway.
The temporary restriction will come into effect on 07 February 2025, between 9:30am and 4:30pm.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, A5, Little Brickhill to Bow Brickhill Road, Leighton Street, Bedford Street, Woburn Road, Hardwick Road, The Leys, Bow Brickhill Road and Woburn Sands Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 9:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (BLETCHAM WAY (PART), CALDECOTTE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2083)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Bletcham Way, Caldecotte, between the A5 slip road and Caldecotte Roundabout, to enable Vattenfall to carry out works to install cabling for a 33Kv HV Network.
The temporary restriction will take effect from 08 February 2025 and continue until 16 February 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via The A5 and Kelly’s Kitchen Roundabout.
PUBLIC NOTICE 10:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STATION ROAD (PART), BOW BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (No.2) (Reference TTRO-2120)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Station Road, Bow Brickhill, between its junctions with Greenways, to enable Croudace Homes to complete a new drainage connection to the Croudace Homes development.
The temporary restriction will take effect on the 8th and 09 February 2025 and continue until 16 February 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Brickhill Street, Little Brickhill to Bow Brickhill Road, Leighton Street, Bedford Street, Woburn Road, Hardwick Road, The Leys, Bow Brickhill Road and Woburn Sands Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 11:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WILLEN ROAD NORTH, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2098)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Willen Road North, Newport Pagnell, from its junction with A422 to its junction with Tongwell Lane, to enable Anglian Water to carry out essential maintenance works.
The temporary restriction will take effect from 10 February 2025 and continue until 12 February 2025 (between the hours of 10:00pm and 6:00am each night).
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Willen Road, Marsh End Road, High Street, Tickford Street and London Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 12:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY AS02 (PART), ASHLAND) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2075)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit members of the public from entering, waiting or proceeding along Redway AS02, Ashland, from its junction with Penshurst Crescent for 150 metres in a south westerly direction, to enable Homes England to carry out works to improve the embankment for the nearby lake.
The temporary closure will take effect from 10 February 2025 and continue until 28 February 2025 (24 hours of each day).
Whilst the above length of redway is closed the alternative route will be via the footpath that runs parallel to Redway AS02.
PUBLIC NOTICE 13:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GREEN FARM ROAD, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2092)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Green Farm Road, Newport Pagnell, from its junction with Broad Street to its junction with Green farm Cottages, to enable Openreach to install new duct for customer connection.
The temporary closure will take effect on the 11 and 12 February 2025 (between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm each day).
Access for residents will be maintained throughout the closure.

PUBLIC NOTICE 14:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, GREAT LINFORD) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITED WAITING PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 04 February 2025 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) to (3), 4(2), 32(1), 35(1) and (3), 45, 49 and 53, of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order (reference: TRO-372).
The effect of the above proposed Order will be to consolidate the existing no waiting at any time and no loading or unloading at any time restrictions in Great Linford and introduce additional no waiting at any time restrictions a 3-hour limited waiting parking place along parts of St Leger Drive in Great Linford.
The made Order will take effect on 07 February 2025.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PORTWAY (H5), MILTON KEYNES) (40 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 04 February 2025 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3), of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order (reference: TRO-414).
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a 40mph speed restriction along Portway (H5), Milton Keynes between Tattenhoe Street (V2) and Fulmer Street (V3).
The made Order will take effect on 07 February 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 04 February 2025 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (reference: TRO-415).
The general effect of the made Order will be to revoke the existing 40mph speed restriction on Newport Road in Wavendon, Milton Keynes and introduce a 30mph speed restriction by virtue of street lighting.
The made Order will take effect on 07 February 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 04 February 2025 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 84(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order (reference: TRO-421).
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce a 30mph speed restriction along The Close and Hardmead Road in Hardmead.
The made Order will take effect on 07 February 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
