What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD

(B383 BUCKHURST ROAD (PART), ASCOT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to:

Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of B383 Buckhurst Road from its northern junction with Mill Lane southward for a distance of 60 metres to the southern boundary of property known as "Virginia Lodge".

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is via B383 Buckhurst Road, B383 Sunninghill Road, A332 Peanut Roundabout, A332 Windsor Road, A330 Winkfield Road, A329 London Road and B383 Buckhurst Road.

The purpose of the proposed Order is to facilitate work in the said road, namely service pipe relay and as a result there will be the likelihood of danger to the public.

The proposed Order shall be in operation from 09:30 hours on Monday 24 February until 16:00 hours on Tuesday 25 February 2025. There will be a prohibition of driving when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
