What is happening?

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF 405865 DARK LANE

(NAILSWORTH TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 405865 Dark Lane Road, from its junction with Burma Road to its junction with Bushcombe Road for a distance of approximately 300 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for new water connection works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 12th February 2025 until 18:00hrs on 14th February 2025 only or until the works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF C213 PARK END

(STROUD TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C213 Park End Road, from outside the property known as ‘Parkside’ to outside the property known as ‘The Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 40 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for water apparatus installation works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 8th February 2025 until 16:00hrs 9th February 2025 only or until the works have been completed.

The reason for the said closure is for tree and free maintenance works.

The said road is expected to be closed on 10th February 2025 only or until the works have been completed.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF 401257 SPRING LANE, THRUPP

(BRIMSCOMBE & THRUPP PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401257 Spring Lane, Thrupp, from its junction with Brewery Lane to its junction with Middle Road for a distance of approximately 114 metres.

The reason for the said closure is for works to replace a rotten telegraph pole.

The said road is expected to be closed between 08:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 12th February 2025 only or until the works have been completed.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(30MPH & 40MPH SPEED LIMIT) (CIRENCESTER ROAD, MINCHINHAMPTON) (STROUD DISTRICT) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council in exercise of its enabling powers under Sections 82 and 84 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made the above-named order the effect of which will be:

  1. To introduce an eastern extension to the existing 30mph speed limit on Cirencester Road by revoking the existing 40mph speed limit in this section and introducing a 30mph speed limit by Traffic Order as detailed in Schedule 1 below.
  2. To rectify anomalies between the existing 30mph speed limit Traffic Order and the on-site situation by revoking the existing Traffic Order and introducing a 30mph speed limit by virtue of street lighting (where there is street lighting) and by Traffic Order as detailed in Schedule 1 below (where there is no street lighting) along Cirencester Road; and
  3. To reduce the extent of the existing 40mph speed limit on Cirencester Road to align with the new proposed eastern extent of the 30mph speed limit as detailed in Schedule 2 below.

The reason for the said closure is for manhole repair/replacement works.

The said road is expected to be closed between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs on 24th February 2025 only or until the works have been completed.

The reason for the said closure is for vegetation removal and infrastructure works.

The said road is expected to be closed from 22:00hrs on 24th February 2025 until 06:00hrs on 26th February 2025 only or until the works have been completed.
