BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - GRAND JUNCTION ROAD/MADEIRA DRIVE

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-

The closure of the cycle lane on Madeira Drive and Grand Junction Road from where it leaves the carriageway of Madeira Drive westwards to opposite the cafe kiosk.

2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to carry out Pier strengthening works.

3. Pedestrian access will be maintained, and a signed diversion route will be in place for cycle traffic.

4. This Order comes into force on 17 February 2025 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed, which is anticipated to be 17 April 2025.
