What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4911 BARRELLS ROAD, THURSTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4911 Barrells Road, Thurston from junction to Elgin Lodge to facilitate electrical related works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Oak Road, Norton Road, Church Road, Storey Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/02/2025 - 05/02/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1302 TAYFEN ROAD, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1302 Tayfen Road, Bury St Edmunds from 30 metres northeast of Ordnance Road for 30 metres north eastbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Northgate Roundabout, Compiegne Way, St Saviours Interchange Junction 43, the A14, Newmarket Road, Out Risbygate and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 13/02/2025 - 6am 14/02/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C638 HEPWORTH ROAD, MARKET WESTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C638 Hepworth Road, Market Weston from Hardys Farm for 50 metres northbound to facilitate fire hydrant repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be New Common Road, Hepworth Road, Beck Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/02/2025 - 06/02/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON PART OF THE U8211 ST CATHERINES ROAD AND THE U8210 LISTON LANE, LONG MELFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8211 St Catherines Road, Long Melford from 65 metres southwest of the junction with the B1064 for 20 metres south westbound to facilitate electrical works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1064, Liston Lane and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will also be a temporary suspension of one-way traffic on the U8210 Liston Lane.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 04/02/2025 - 06/02/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C694 NORTHGATE, BECCLES

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C694 Northgate, Beccles from no. 19 to no. 25 to facilitate the resurfacing of part of the carriageway. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be:

  1. Northbound: Blyburgate Street, Gillingham Dam, Loddon Road, the A146.
  2. Southbound: The Walk, Market Street, Ballygate Street, Northgate and vice versa.

An alternative diversion route will be The Walk, Market Street, Station Road, George Westwood Way, St Annes Road, Ringsfield Road, Ellough Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 13/02/2025 - 14/02/2025 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8118 DUKE STREET, BILDESTON

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8118 Duke Street, Bildeston from no. 23 to Duke Street to facilitate water communication pipe repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Chapel Street, the B1115 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 04/02/2025 - 06/02/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C535 STRADBROKE ROAD, U5511 HALL LANE AND THE B1077 CASTLE STREET, HORHAM AND EYE

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

  • The C535 Stradbroke Road, Horham from 135 metres west of Hall Road for 245 metres eastbound.
  • The U5511 Hall Lane, Horham from the junction with Stradbroke Road for 65 metres north westbound.

This is to facilitate telecommunications cabling works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1117, the B1118, the A140, the B1117 and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will be a temporary suspension of the 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the B1077 Castle Street, Eye from the junction with the B1117 Magdalen Street for 400 metres south eastbound.

It is intended that these measures will operate on 04/02/2025 from 10am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF BRIDLEWAY 2, KNETTISHALL

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing Bridleway 2, Knettishall from the junction with Heath Road to the Little Ouse River Bridge for safety reasons during bridge repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Heath Road, The Street, West Harling Road and vice versa.

This order continues in force the emergency measures operating since 15/01/2025.

It is intended that the closure will operate until 14/07/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).
