East Dean Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Level Crossing Works

What is happening?

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - EAST DEAN ROAD, EAST DEAN, TEST VALLEY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of East Dean Road between two points approx. 20m either side of the Dean Hill Level Crossing.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Moody's Hill South to County Boundary, Rectory Hill, Dean Road, Church Lane, The Coach Road, Lockerley Road, East Tytherley Road, Dean Road.

DURATION OF ORDER: from 22nd February 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 night, working between the hours 23:00-08:00).

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Network Rail to carry out level crossing works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order, please contact: nicola.welsh@centuriontraffic.com

Network Rail will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
