Barkby Road - Temporary Restrictions For Gas Mains Replacement Works

THE LEICESTER (BARKBY ROAD) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:
Prohibit the movement of all vehicles in a north-eastbound direction and prohibit parking, waiting, and loading on Barkby Road from its junction with Lewisher Road to its junction with Troon Way from 8.00am on Friday 7th February 2025 until 6.00pm on Tuesday 18th March 2025.
Diversion route: Lewisher Road, Victoria Road, Thurmaston Lane.
The Order will come into effect on the 7th February 2025 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
These restrictions are to facilitate gas mains replacement works taking place on or near the above sections of highway. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
