THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

THE LEICESTER (MARBLE STREET) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:

Prohibit the movement of all vehicles on Marble Street in its entirety from 12.00am on Monday 10th February 2025 until 11.59pm on Monday 31st March 2025.

Diversion route: Chancery Street, Rupert Street, Millstone Lane.

Suspend existing one-way restriction on Chancery Street between its junctions with Rupert Street and with Marble Street from 12.00am on Monday 10th February 2025 until 11.59pm on Monday 31st March 2025.

The Order will come into effect on the 10th February 2025 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.

These restrictions are to facilitate development works taking place near the above sections of highway. 

Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
