Hillsborough Old Road, Lisburn
Notice is hereby given that the Department for Infrastructure
using its powers under Article 7 (1) and (3) of the Road Traffic
Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, has temporarily
prohibited the use, by traffic of:-
Hillsborough Old Road, Lisburn from Ravarnet Road to
Altona Road.
This road will be closed until Friday 16th May 2025,
from 09:30hrs until 16:30hrs each day.
The closure is required for DfI Eastern (Resurfacing works).
Alternative route: Ravarnet Road – A1 Hillsborough Road
– A1 Queens Road – A47 Sloan Street – Young Street –
Hillsborough Old Road.
Parking Places – Disabled
Persons’ Vehicles
The Department for Infrastructure has made a Statutory Rule
entitled “The Parking Places (Disabled Persons’ Vehicles)
(Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2025”, (S.R. 2025
No. 8) which comes into operation on 17 February 2025.
The Rule will create parking places with unlimited waiting
in Ballygawley, Belfast, Crossmaglen, Derry/Londonderry,
Dungannon, Lisnaskea, Newry and Strabane and remove a
parking place with unlimited waiting in Larne.
A copy of the Rule may be viewed at DfI offices during
office hours (Monday to Friday 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.)
by appointment only. Appointments can be arranged by
telephoning 0300 200 7899. The Rule may also be viewed
online at http://www.legislation.gov.uk/nisr
