TEMPORARY TRAFFIC NOTICE

FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 121 IN THE COMMUNITY OF MOLD RURAL

Flintshire County Council hereby intends no sooner than 7 days from the 31st January 2025 to make an Order which will prohibit pedestrians from using that section of Public Footpath No. 121 in the Community of Mold Rural from a point in which it meets Argoed View at NGR 325070 365554 for an approximate distance of 105 meters in a northerly direction to the junction with New Brighton Road at NGR 325095 365650.

The closure is necessary to allow the construction of a housing development with associated works by Lovell Partnerships.

An alternative route will be provided onsite.

The restriction on the footpath will come into force on 14 February 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The footpath is expected to be closed for 6 months, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of six months.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

LLANFYNYDD

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding in Trimmley Hall Farm Junction to B5101 Junction Ffrith between its junctions at B5101 Llanfynydd and Trimmley Hall Farm Pantre Junction, Llanfynydd, in the County of Flintshire.

The closure is to facilitate repairs to a substandard weak bridge for the Department for Transport by Hanby and Eccles Ltd.

The alternative route available for vehicles will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order will come into effect on the 3 February 2025. It is anticipated that the road will only be closed for 3 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14

HOLYWELL

Flintshire County Council has made an Order which prohibits any vehicle from proceeding in Old Chester Road, between its junctions with Halkyn Road and Fron Park Road, Holywell, in the County of Flintshire.

The reason for the closure is to facilitate sewer work within the carriageway with associated works by J&P Civil Engineering Ltd.

The alternative route available for vehicles will be signed accordingly by the use of prescribed signs. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The Order comes into force on the 3 February 2025. It is anticipated that the road will only be closed for 3 weeks, or until the earlier completion of the works, subject to a maximum period of eighteen months.

SECTION 23 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

PROPOSED PARALLEL / CYCLE CROSSING ON THE B5125 THE HIGHWAY, HAWARDEN

NOTICE is hereby given that the Flintshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes:

a) The installation of a Parallel / Cycle Crossing at the location as described in the Schedule to this Notice.

Reason for Proposal: Flintshire County Council has identified The B5125 The Highway, Hawarden as a location suitable for a Parallel / Cycle Crossing facility. Flintshire County Council have been successful in obtaining funding to implement a permanent crossing facility at this location, as part of a wider Active Travel Scheme, which will encourage and aid sustainable journeys to and from Hawarden High School. Additionally, it will serve the wider community by providing a safe crossing point outside of school hours.

The usual prohibition of vehicles stopping, waiting, loading and unloading on the carriageway within the areas marked by Zig Zag lines on either side of the crossing will apply.

A copy of this Notice and a plan showing the road affected by the proposal, may be inspected during normal opening hours at Buckley Connects Centre, Buckley Library, The Precinct, Buckley, Flintshire, CH7 2EF.
