What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE AREA

B2163 Ewell Lane, West Farleigh, ME15 0NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2163 Ewell Lane, West Farleigh, on or after 2nd March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Old Estate Office. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2163 Ewell Lane, B2010 Lower Road, Dean Street, B2163 Heath Road, B2163 Ewell Lane and vice versa.

 

Beaver Road, Allington, ME16 0FH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow reinstatement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Beaver Road, Allington, on or after 27th February 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Corben Close, between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Belmont Close, Maidstone, ME16 9FP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new ducting installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Belmont Close, Maidstone, on or after 26th February 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from Beverley Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Caring Lane, Bearsted, ME14 4NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Caring Lane, Bearsted, on or after 11th February 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Puddledock. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Caring Lane, A20 Ashford Road, Otham Lane, Caring Road and vice versa.

 

Lower Farm Road, Boughton Monchelsea (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow sewage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lower Farm Road, Boughton Monchelsea, on or after 13th February 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from 200m east of junction with Church Hill. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Church Hill, Peens Lane, Long Lane, Lower Farm Road and vice versa.

 

Stickfast Lane, Ulcombe (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drain cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stickfast Lane, Ulcombe, on or after 25th February 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Brick Kiln Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stickfast Lane, East Sutton Road, East Sutton Hill, Charlton Lane, Chartway Street, Lenham Road, Ulcombe Hill, The Street, Headcorn Road, Crumps Lane, Stickfast Lane and vice versa.

 

Thurnham Lane, Thurnham, ME14 4D (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow drainage improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thurnham Lane, Thurnham, on or after 24th February 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Court Farm, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ware Street, The Green, The Street, Water Lane, Pilgrims Way, Thurnham Lane and vice versa.

 

Thurnham Lane, Thurnham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow structure inspection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Thurnham Lane, Thurnham, on or after 24th February 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the M20 overpass bridge, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Thurnham Lane, Ware Street, The Green, The Street, Water Lane, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

 

West Wood Road & Plum Tree Lane, Stockbury, ME9 7UR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of West Wood Road & Plum Tree Lane, Stockbury, on or after 12th February 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

West Wood Road will be closed at the junction of West Wood Road and Plum Tree Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Plum Tree Lane will be closed at the junction of West Wood Road and Plum Tree Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any West Wood Road through traffic is via West Wood Road, Hill Green Road, South Street Road, West Wood Road and vice versa.

The alternative route for any Plum Tree Lane through traffic is via Plum Tree Lane, Hill Green Road, West Wood Road and Vice Versa.

 

Various Roads, Maidstone (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow highway improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on  Various Roads, Maidstone, on or after 10th February 2025 until the works have been completed.

Various Roads will be closed as per the below schedule. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow the Maidstone Road Run event to be held by the Heart of Kent Hospice, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Various Roads, Maidstone on or after 2nd March 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The following roads will be closed for their entire length, between the hours of 08:00 and 14:00 only, on a rolling as detailed below:

Hubbards Lane, Haste Hill Road, Bereford Hill, Bottlescrew Hill, Cliff Hill Road, Cliff Hill, Pested Bars Road, Brishing Road, The Quarries, Old Tree Lane, Church Street, Back Lane and Park Lane.
