The County Of Devon (Temporary Restriction)

(Road From Hooks Cross To Caton Cross, Caton)
Order 2025 Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order. From 10/2/25 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 14/3/25. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads.

Roads affected: ROAD FROM HOOKS CROSS TO CATON CROSS, CATON

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - DIVERSION 1 – A38 NORTHBOUND, HOOKS CROSS TO GOODSTONE CROSS, DIVERSION 2 - HOOKS CROSS TO GOODSTONE CROSS, A383, A38 SOUTHBOUND, B3352, A38 NORTHBOUND.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: DRAINAGE.

Roads affected: OAK PLACE, NEWTON ABBOT

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - OAK PLACE - QUEEN STREET, COURTENAY PARK, DEVON SQUARE, ST PAULS ROAD, OAK PLACE AND/OR OAK PLACE, QUEEN STREET, DEVON SQUARE, OAK PLACE.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: REPLACE OLD METALLIC GAS MAINS WITH NEW PLASTIC MAINS & RENEW/TRANSFER SERVICE PIPES TO ADJACENT PREMISES. OAK PLACE CLOSED FROM JUNCTION 102 QUEEN STREET TO JUNCTION 128 QUEEN STREET, ACCESS WILL BE MAINTAINED.

Roads affected: HIGHWEEK STREET & FOOTPATH 46, NEWTON ABBOT

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - HIGHWEEK STREET, EXETER ROAD, JETTY MARSH ROAD, KINGSTEIGTON ROAD, HALCYON ROAD, HIGHWEEK STREET & VICE VERSA. NEWTON ABBOT FOOTPATH 46, OLD EXETER ROAD, ABBOTSBURY ROAD, WAVERLEY ROAD, NEWTON ABBOT FOOTPATH 46 & VICE VERSA.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: GAINS MAIN REPLACEMENT WORKS. TTRO INCLUDES A ROAD CLOSURE & A FOOTPATH CLOSURE.
