Broughton Road, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Highway Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (C6001 BROUGHTON ROAD, DALTON-IN-FURNESS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable highway works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of Broughton Road, Dalton-in-Furness, from its junction with Rakes Lane extending predominantly in a south easterly direction to its junction with the U6098.
A suitable alternative route will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C6001, C6002, C6003, C6011, A590 and A595 (Askam-in-Furness).

The Order will come into operation on 19 February 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
