Gravesham, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

HIGHWAYS

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,  makes or intends to make the following Orders.

GRAVESHAM AREA

B261 Old Road West, Gravesend, DA11 0LT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B261 Old Road West, Gravesend, on or after 17th February 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 126.

The alternative route is via B261 Old Road West, Darnley Road, Pelham Road and vice versa.

 

Forge Lane, Rochester, ME3 7AA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of drainage improvement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forge Lane, Rochester, on or after 17th February 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Wildacre and at junction of A226 Gravesend Road.

The alternative route is via Forge Lane, School Lane, Hermitage Road, Lower Rochester Road, Chequers Street, Chalk Road, Lower Road, Lower Higham Road, A226 Rochester Road/Gravesend Road.

 

Forge Lane, School Lane & Villa Road, Rochester, ME3 7AT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Forge Lane, School Lane and Villa Road, Rochester, on or after 19th February 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The roads will be closed at their junctions with each other.

The alternative route is via Forge Lane, A226 Gravesend Road/Rochester Road, Lower Higham Road, Lower Road, Chalk Road, School Lane and vice versa.

 

Havelock Road, Gravesend, DA11 0JD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2025

To allow water pipe repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Havelock Road, Gravesend, from 24th February 2025, with estimated completion by 28th February 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Campbell Road, B261 Old Road West, Pelham Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

South Hill Road, Gravesend, DA12 1LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2025

To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Hill Road, Gravesend, from 24th February 2025, with estimated completion by 25th February 2025, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between numbers 40 and 53, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via South Hill Road, Parrock Road and Constitution Hill.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

South Hill Road, Gravesend, DA12 1LA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of to replace a manhole cover, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of South Hill Road, Gravesend, on or after 18th February 2025 for up to 2 days between 09.30hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Parrock Road

The alternative route is via South Hill Road, Parrock Road, Constitution Hill and vice versa.

 

The Street, Cobham, DA12 3AP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Cobham, on or after 17th February 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Green Hedges.

The alternative route is via The Street, Halfpence Lane, Darnley Lodge Lane, Thong Lane, Vigilant Way, Marling Way, Cirrus Crescent, Valley Drive, Hever Court Road, Marling Cross Overbridge, Henhurst Road, Jeskyns Road and vice versa.

 

Vale Road, Northfleet, DA11 8DL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Vale Road, Northfleet, on or after 10th February 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 121D.

The alternative route is via Vale Road, A226 Thames Way, B262 Springhead Road, Hall Road, Old Perry Street and vice versa.

 

Woodhill, Gravesend. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2025

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Woodhill, Gravesend, from 26th February 2025, with estimated completion by 28th February 2025, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in its entirety, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Horns Oak Road, David Street, Whitehill Road, Foxendown Lane and Brimstone Hill.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
