Cumbria, Temporary Road Closure Due To Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5037 BROUGHTON MILLS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U5037 Broughton Mills, from its junction with the C5008, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 300 metres.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the C5008, U5038, A593 and the unrestricted section of the U5037.

The Order will come into operation on 17th February 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day, during the hours of 0930 and 1530 and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
