What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC141940165: The City of Manchester (Hardy Lane, Chorlton Park Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Hardy Lane . The alternative routes for traffic will be: Barlow Moor Road, Maitland Avenue, Darley Avenue vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the resetting of a frame and cover in carriageway. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 16th February 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 16th February 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Dated: 4 February 2025. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Oscar Street From Lightbowne Road to 37 Oscar street and from Lightbowne Road to Adrian street.The alternative routes for traffic will be: 1. Oscar Street, Adrian Street, Joan Street.2, Lightbowne Road,Brendon Avenue,Douglas Street.The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate frame and cover replacement . It is expected that the works will be in progress on 16th February 2025. The order shall come into operation on 16th February 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
