Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited has made an Order on the A3 Trunk Round in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order is to authorise the weekend closures of:
- the London-bound carriageway of the A3 between Flexcombe Interchange and its junction with Ham Barn roundabout;
- the coastbound carriageway of the A3 between Liphook Interchange (B2131) and its junction with Ham Barn roundabout; and
- the entire circulatory carriageway of Ham Barn Roundabout;
- all the slips leading to and from the carriageways and roundabout described in
(a) – (c) above; and
- all the lay-bys adjacent to the carriageways described in (a) and (b) above.
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake carriageway works and all associated works.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 2 weekends starting on or after Friday 21st February 2025. The weekend closure will take place between 21:00 on the Friday and 06:00 on the Monday (maximum period). Please consult National Highways website for further details.
The Order will come into force on 14th February 2025 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using the A272, the A287 and the A333.
The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
