Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1(1), (2), 2(1) to (3) and 4(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order
The effect of the named Order will be to change the weight limit from 18t to 7.5t on the following length of road.
Roads in Upstreet in the District of Canterbury
GROVE FERRY HILL & GROVE FERRY ROAD – Prohibit vehicles of more than 7.5t from crossing the bridge in both directions.

(AMENDMENT No.17) ORDER 2025
Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby propose to make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:
The effect of the Order will be to change the existing 30mph speed limit and implement a 20MPH speed limit on the following lengths of roads in Barham, Canterbury:
RECTORY LANE – From its junction with The Street for a distance of 160 metres in an easterly direction. THE STREET – From its junction with Valley Road for a distance of 525 metres in an easterly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-
The effect of the named Order will introduce waiting restrictions on the following lengths of road (in this part of the notice DYL’s means double yellow lines) waiting to be prohibited at any time on the following roads:-
Roads in Dartford in the Borough of Dartford
ARUNDEL ROAD – (1) On both sides from its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 10 metres in a north westerly direction. BURNHAM CRESCENT – On both sides of its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 10 metres in north westerly direction. CHATSWORTH ROAD – (1) On the north side to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west of its junction with Burnham Crescent. (2) On the north side to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west of its junction with Arundel Road. (3) On the south side to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west of its junction with Chatsworth Road school entrance. (4) On the south side to a point 10 metres east and 10 metres west of its junction with Homleigh Avenue. HOMLEIGH AVENUE – On both sides of its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south easterly direction.
The Order was made on 6 February 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 7 February 2025.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-
The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines on the following length of road in Maidstone:-
HOCKERS LANE – DYL - On both sides from its junction with Ware Street for a distance of 15 metres in a north easterly direction. SANDY MOUNT – DYL - (1) On its south side 3 metres east of the western boundary of 5 Sandy Mount for a distance of 88 metres in an easterly direction. (2) On its north side from the permit parking bays opposite number 7 Sandy Mount for a distance of 50 metres in a south easterly direction. WARE STREET – DYL - On both sides from a point 15 metres north west of its junction with Hockers Lane for a distance of 35 metres in a south easterly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The effect of the Order is to introduce (DYLs) double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Frittenden,Tunbridge Wells:-
BIDDENDEN ROAD – DYL – On the north side from its junction with Headcorn Road for a distance of 7 metres in a easterly direction. HEADCORN ROAD – DYL – (1) On the north west side from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of 10 metres in northerly direction. (2) On the east side from its junction with Biddeneden Road for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction. MILL LANE – DYL – (1) On the northwestern side from its junction with Headcorn Road for a distance of 20 meters in a north westerly direction. (2) On the south western side from its junction with The Street for a distance of 23 metres in a north westerly direction. THE STREET – DYL - (1) On the west side from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of 14 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the south east side from its junction with Biddenden Road for a distance of 29 metres in a southerly direction.
