Temporary Closure of Windmill Hill Lane, Forwards Lane and Thickthorn Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along; Windmill Hill Lane - from the junction with Forwards Lane to the junction with Ashton Close, a distance of 1080 metres; Forwards Lane - from the junction with Windmill Hill Lane, for its entirety; and Thickthorn Lane - from the junction with Wood Road, eastwards for a distance of 1030 metres. A total distance of 2399 metres.
This Order will enable Wessex Internet to carry out fibre cabling works.
The Order becomes effective on 30th January 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 3rd February 2025 and last until 14th February 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 12 days.
