Nottingham Road And Watnall Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Gas Mains Replacement Works
What is happening?

(Nottingham Road And Watnall Road, Nuthall) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (Bx25-018)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Nuthall in the Borough of Broxtowe. The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road
a. Watnall Road, Nuthall - From its junction with Back Lane to its junction with Nottingham Road
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Nottingham Road, Nuthall - From a point 200 metres east of its junction with Maple Drive for a distance of 160 metres in a easterly direction
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:00 hours Monday 3rd February 2025 Until 17:00 hours Friday 14th March 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
HGV route - B600 Watnall Road - B600 Church Road - B600 Willey Lane A608 and vice versa
Other vehicles - B600 Watnall Road - B600 Church Drive - B601 Moorgreen - B6010 Beauvale - Nottingham Road - A608 Derby Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 3rd February 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works.
