Stagshaw Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Drainage Repair Workd
What is happening?
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) B6529 STAGSHAW ROAD CORBRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6529 Stagshaw Road Corbridge from its junction with A68 Corbridge to Stagshaw heading southwards for a distance of 550 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 17th February 2025 until the 16th May 2025. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 17th February 2025 until the 19th February 2025 between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th May 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the C242, A6079, A69, B6530, B6529, U8187 and B6321. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out drainage repairs and carriageway reprofiling. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
