NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

The Leys, Burwell Temporary Prohibition Of Use - Order 2025-166

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along The Leys, Burwell as lies between No.10 & Bolton Close. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 11/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 10/8/25 whichever is the earlier.

Ten Mile Bank, Littleport Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-170

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ten Mile Bank, Littleport as lies between Nos.42 & 44. The alternative route for vehicles is via Riverbank; Ten Mile Bank; Modney Bridge Rd; Hillgay; A10 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water meter exchange & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 12/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 11/8/26 whichever is the earlier.

Ely Road B1382, Queen Adelaide Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-175

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ely Road B1382, Queen Adelaide as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1382; B1411; A10; A1101; B1382 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/8/26 whichever is the earlier.

Church Street B1102, Fordham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-177

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street B1102, Fordham as lies between No's.12 & 30. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1102; Soham Rd; A142; A10; B1411; Egremont St, Ely; B1382; B1104; Fordham Rd, Isleham; Isleham Rd, Fordham & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 16/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 15/8/26 whichever is the earlier.

Whitecross Road, Wilburton Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-178

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Whitecross Road, Wilburton as lies between Rear of Foxfield & Station Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Stretham Station Rd; Broad Baulk, Stretham; A10; A1123; Station Rd, Wilburton & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water meter exchange & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 26/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 25/8/26 whichever is the earlier.

The Causeway, Burwell Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-195

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along The Causeway, Burwell as lies between No.32 & Guyatt Court. The alternative route for vehicles is via North St; Toyse Lane; B1102 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/8/26 whichever is the earlier.

Tower Road, Sutton Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-206

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Tower Road, Sutton as lies between No.9 & the water tower. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 25/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 24/8/26 whichever is the earlier.

Mildenhall Road A1101, Shippea Hill Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-219

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mildenhall Road A1101, Shippea Hill as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1101; A11; A14; A142; A10; A1101 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 15/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 14/8/26 whichever is the earlier.

Heath Road, Burwell Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-238

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Heath Road, Burwell as lies between Sheepyard & Burwell Byway 19. The alternative route for vehicles is via Laceys Ln, Exning; Chapel St; Oxford St; B1103; B1102 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 24/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 23/8/26 whichever is the earlier.

Various Roads, Isleham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-259

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate extension of existing 30mph zone, installation of 40mph buffer zone, double yellow lining, the installation of a narrowing feature, new signage & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 17/2/2025 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 16/8/2026 whichever is the earlier

Schedule 1 – Road Closures

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Nornea Lane, Stuntney as lies between No.4 & A142. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway patching & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 31/7/26 whichever is the earlier.

Various A142, East Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic - Order 2025-282

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access and egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway retexturing, crack sealing & associated works. The Order will come into operation on 1/2/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 31/7/26 whichever is the earlier.

Schedule 1 – Road Closures (Continued)

Is to stop any vehicle from parking/waiting along Waterside, Ely as lies between Lisle Lane & Willow Walk. During the period this Order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council (Waterside, Ely) (Street Parking Places) Order 1990. Areas of road in the District of East Cambridgeshire Parish of Ely authorised to be used as Street Parking Places Waterside -East side between points 7m & 32m south of its junction with Osier Close between points 46m & 65m south of its junction with Osier Close between points 71m & 88m south if its junction with Osier Close Bays are subject to a 8am-6pm 2hours no return within 2 hours restriction is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway, kerb maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 24/2/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 23/8/26 whichever is the earlier. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
