Hertfordshire County Council:
(Temporary Closing Of B1037 (Unnamed Road), Cottered) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B1037 (unnamed road), Cottered from its junction with Blind Lane north eastwards for a distance of approximately 15m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B1037 (unnamed road/White Hill/High Street/ Stevenage Road/Fairlands Way), A1155 Verity Way, A1072 Martins Way, A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (High Street/Graveley Road/Jacks Hill), A507 Baldock Road, B197 (London Road/High Street), B656 Whitehorse Street, A507 (Clothall Road/unnamed road/Baldock Road) and B1037 (unnamed road).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Traffic Management Measures On Various Roads In Hoddesdon) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-
1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Roman Street, Hoddesdon from its junction with Burford Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 60m, except for access.
An alternative route will be via Burford Street, A1170 (Dinant Link Road/Amwell Street), Duke Street, North Road and Roman Street.
2. The existing one way traffic system on Roman Street, Hoddesdon from its junction with Burford Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 30m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road whilst works are in progress.
3. The existing one way traffic system on North Road, Hoddesdon from its junction with Roman Street north westwards to its junction with Belcher Road, a distance of approximately 122m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on
or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 14 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Mangrove Road, Hertford) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of road (“the lengths of Road”):-
1. that length of Mangrove Road, Hertford from its junction with Mangrove Drive north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 568m. An alternative route will be via Mangrove Road, Mangrove Lane, Goose Green Lord Street, Lord Street, Taverners Way, Pauls Lane, Amwell Street, A1170 Amwell Street, B1197 (Hertford Road/London Road), A414 London Road and Mangrove Road or via Mangrove Road, Mangrove Lane, Goose Green Lord Street, Lord Street, Taverners Way, Pauls Lane, Amwell Street, A1170 Amwell Street, B1197 (Hertford Road/London Road), A414 (London Road/Gascoyne Way), B158 Hale Road, Hale Road, Queens Road and Hagsdell Road.
2. the westbound carriageway of Mangrove Road, Hertford from a point 57m south west of its junction with A414 London Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 34m.
An alternative route will be via Mangrove Road, A414 London Road, B1197 (London Road/Hertford Road), A1170 Amwell Street, Amwell Street, Pauls Lane, Taverners Way, Lord Street, Goose Green Lord Street, Mangrove Lane and Mangrove Road. The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed near the lengths of Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the lengths of Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Church Road, Hertford Heath) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Road, Hertford Heath from its junction with Vicarage Causeway south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Vicarage Causeway, B1197 London Road and Church Hill.
The Order is needed because electrical service works are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Halstead Hill, Goffs Oak) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Halstead Hill, Goffs Oak from its junction with Silver Street north westwards and northwards to its junction with B156 Goffs Lane, a distance of approximately 400m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Silver Street, Jones Road and B156 (Cuffley Hill/Goffs Lane).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of B156 Goffs Lane, Goffs Oak) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B156 Goffs Lane, Goffs Oak from its junction with the Rosedale Way/B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way roundabout north westwards to its junction with Wolsey Avenue, a distance of approximately 55m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B198 Lieutenant Ellis Way, A10 (Great Hadham Road/ unnamed road), A414 (Rush Green Link/London Road/Gascoyne Way), B158 (Hale Road/Pegs Lane/Bullocks Lane/Horns Mill Road/Lower Hatfield Road/unnamed road/ Low Road/Essendon Hill/High Road/Cum Cum Hill/Kentish Lane), A1000 Great North Road, B197 (Shepherds Way/The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill) and B156 (Station Road/Cuffley Hill/Goffs Lane).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 15 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Warren Park Road, Hertford) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Warren Park Road, Hertford from its junction with B158 Port Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 70m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B158 Bengeo Street, New Road and Warren Park Road.
The Order is needed because reinstatement works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Various Roads In Stanstead Abbotts And Stanstead St Margarets) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Hoddesdon Road, Stanstead Abbotts/Stanstead Road, Stanstead St Margarets from its junction with B181 Station Road south eastwards, south westwards and south westwards to its junction with St Margarets Road, a distance of approximately 805m.
An alternative route will be via B181 Station Road, A1170 (Ware Road/Amwell Street/ Dinant Link Road), Burford Street and Stanstead Road.
2. that length of The Granary, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with Hoddesdon Road south eastwards and north westwards or its entire length.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out.
However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing And Temporary Waiting Restrictions In Pye Corner, Gilston) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pye Corner, Gilston from its junction with Terlings Avenue north eastwards, northwards and north eastwards to its junction with Redricks Lane, a distance of approximately 1069m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Eastwick Road, A414 (Fifth Avenue/Edinburgh Way), A1184 (Cambridge Road/Harlow Road) and High Wych Road.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides
of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the
Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of B1000 Hertford Road, Tewin And Panshanger Lane, Cole Green) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of B1000 Hertford Road, Tewin from its easternmost junction with Panshanger Lane north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards from its westernmost junction with Hertford Road, a distance of approximately 736m.
An alternative route will be via B1000 (Hertford Road/Waterside), A1000 Mundells, B195 (Black Fan Road/Cole Green Lane/Birchall Lane), A414 (Cole Green Bypass/Hertingfordbury Road), A119 (Cross Lane/North Road) and B1000 (Welwyn Road/Hertford Road).
2. that length of Panshanger Lane, Cole Green from its easternmost junction with B1000 Hertford Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 109m.
An alternative route will be via B1000 Hertford Road and Pansanger Lane.
The Order is needed because tree cutting works are proposed to be executed near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Villiers Street, Hertford) Order 2025
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Villiers Street, Hertford from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.24 Villiers Street north westwards for a distance of approximately 33m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via A119 Ware Road, Railway Place and Railway Street.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of The Footbridge Situated Over ‘Fiddlers Brook’, Eastwick) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footbridge situated over ‘Fiddlers Brook’, Eastwick from its junction with Terlings Avenue north eastwards to its junction with Pye Corner, a distance of approximately 76m (“the Footbridge”).
An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the north side of Terlings Avenue, the footway situated on the east side of Eastwick Road and the footway situated on the south side of Pye Corner.
The Order is needed because footbridge remedial works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footbridge.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 February 2025 for a period of up to 6 months.
However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footbridge.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A414 Eastwick Road, Stanstead Abbotts from its junction with the B181 Station Road/A1170 Ware Road roundabout south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 3621m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A10 (Amwell Link Roadunnamed road)/Wadesmill Bypass), A120 (Standon Hill/Kents Lane/Stortford Road/Standon Road/Little Hadham Bypass/Hadham Road), A1184 (Bishops Park Way/St James Way/London Road/ Cambridge Road/London Road/Bonks Hill/Harlow Road/Cambridge Road) and A414 (Edinburgh Way/Fifth Avenue/Eastwick Road).
The Order is needed because bridge and associated works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 3 February 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-
1. that length of Whempstead Lane, Dane End from its junction with Munden Road south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Whempstead Road, a distance of approximately 1429m. An alternative route will be via Munden Road, Sacombe Pound, A602 Tonwell Bypass and Whempstead Road.
2. that length of B1037 (unnamed road), Cottered from its junction with B1037 White Hill south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its easternmost junction with A507 Baldock Road, a distance of approximately 2561m.
An alternative route will be via B1037 (White Hill/High Street/Stevenage Road/ Fairlands Way), A1155 Verity Way, A1072 Martins Way, A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (Graveley Road/High Street/Jacks Hill), A505 Baldock Bypass, B197 (London Road/ High Street), B656 Whitehorse Street and A507 (Clothall Road/unnamed road/ Baldock Road).
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Hertfordshire (Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont Avenue South And Hudson Avenue, Bishop’s Stortford) (Prohibition Of Turns) Order 2024
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new waiting restrictions, prohibition of driving, a new 20 mph zone and prohibition of turns on roads in Bishop’s Stortford as specified in the Schedules to this Notice. The Orders will come into effect on Friday 7 February 2025.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders may be viewed from 30 January 2025 to 13 March 2025 during office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford or online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting East Herts and looking at Ref: EH01124.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders, or any of their provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the 1984 Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
SCHEDULE 1: No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plans – Parts of Beaumont Avenue, Northwold Close, Horsley Court, Beaumont Avenue South, Hudson Avenue, Unnamed Road B, Parish Way and Mountbatten Way.
SCHEDULE 2: Bus gate – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Part of Beaumont Avenue.
SCHEDULE 3: 20 mph zone – those lengths of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plans – Parts of Beaumont Avenue and Beaumont Avenue South.
SCHEDULE 4: Prohibition of turns – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Beaumont Avenue South, Hudson Avenue and Beaumont Avenue.
