ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:
Well Lane and Knightcott, Banwell North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Pedestrians, Equestrians and Cyclists Date coming into force: 10 February 2025 - Ref: T25-01
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of work being executed on and near the road by North Somerset Council to construct Banwell Bypass including associated investigations, surveys, diversions and other enabling works. North Somerset Council are satisfied that the execution of the works in question will take 19 months. This order will become operative on 10 February 2025 for a maximum period of 19 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 30 weeks in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Alternative routes - Well Lane -Knightcott Road, Westfield Road, Greenfields Avenue, High Street, Well Lane, Knightcott and vice versa.
Footpath AX5/32/20, Blagdon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025 Date coming into force: 7 April 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-302
Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic including Pedestrians, Cyclists & Equestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to construct a new twin sewer. This order will become operative on the 7 April 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Footpath AX5/30/20, Blagdon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025 Date coming into force: 7 April 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-301

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to undertake ducting works. This order will become operative on the 7 April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Mead Lane, Sandford, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming into force: 21 March 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-297
Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace poles. This order will become operative on the 21 March 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 7 hours in duration between 8.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to change a pole. This order will become operative on the 9 April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.
This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to replace cover and frame. This will become operative on the 10 February 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am and 2.30pm. This will become operative on the 10 February 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force. Access maintained.

Notice of coming into force of Public Path Diversion Order Town and Country Planning Act 1990 section 257 North Somerset District Council Part of Footpaths AX 29/17 and AX 29/18, running between Woodborough Road and The Lynch, Winscombe Public Path Diversion Order No. 6 2019
The provisions of Article 2 of the above Order, made on 16 December 2019 and confirmed on the 31 of January 2020 have been complied with, therefore North Somerset Council has certified that the Order became operative on 12 December 2024.

Visitor permit £25 for 250 hours (valid for three years from date of purchase, entitlement to visitor hours are per household per annum), Business and Customer Permits £200 per annum (up to five permitted per business), Business and Customer Permits for Locking Road Car Park £90 per annum (no limit), dedicated medical permits which can be used in W01 area in resident bays and pay and display bays on street £60 per annum (for maximum of two hours per visit)
