(Templeway West, Lydney & Church Street, Newent) (Forest Of Dean District) (Variation) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council intend to make a Variation Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 32, 35, 36 and 39 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which would vary the Gloucestershire County Council On Street Parking Order 2017 (the 2017 Order) by introducing/revoking the proposed restrictions detailed in The Schedule below in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

THE SCHEDULE

Restrictions to be introduced:
Limited Waiting 4 Hours No Return 4 Hours Mon-Sat 8am-6:30pm

No Waiting at Any Time (Double Yellow Lines)

Restrictions to be Revoked:
Limited Waiting 1 Hour No Return 1 Hour Mon-Sat 8am-6:30pm

The lengths of roads fall within the Towns of Lydney & Newent in the Forest of Dean District within the County of Gloucestershire.

Temporary Road Closure 401205 Pound Lane (Hardwicke Parish) Stroud District

Temporary Closures Of Various Roads (Bromsberrow Parish) Forest Of Dean District

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The said roads are expected to be closed on a “rolling programme”, commencing 3rd February 2025 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force.

Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closure/restrictions taking effect. 

This Order may permit the said closures and restrictions of the said roads in any order, or simultaneously, as required, and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 5th November 2025.

Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath Ebr 27 (Brookthorpe With Whaddon Parish) Stroud District

NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the above Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath EBR 27 from its junction with Naas Lane extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 302 metres to its junction with Public Footpath EBR 33.

The closure is necessary to safeguard the public due to the said footpath being obstructed by construction and associated bunding for a fishing lake.

The said Public Footpath falls within Brookthorpe with Whaddon Parish in the Stroud District, within the County of Gloucestershire. 

The said Order came into force on the 23rd January 2023 and works were expected to have been completed on the 22nd July 2023. 

However, the works were not completed and the Secretary of State subsequently granted an extension until 23rd January 2025 but, as works are still ongoing, the Secretary of State has granted a further extension until 23rd July 2026 or until the works are complete, whichever is earliest.
