Selkirk and Galashiels Area - Multiple Temporary Road Closure Orders
What is happening?
SCOTTISH BORDERS COUNCIL
(BLEACHFIELD ROAD, SELKIRK) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Bleachfield Road, Selkirk) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:30 on 5 February 2025 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 12 February 2025 – 24 hour closure. The Order
is required for Scottish Water works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Bleachfield Road, Selkirk from Raeburn Place
northwards for 67 metres.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Raeburn Place, A7, C21 and Bleachfield Road to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of
the foregoing.

(GLEBE PLACE, GALASHIELS) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (Glebe Place, Galashiels) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 3 February 2025 and is expected to
remain in effect until 17:00 on 10 February 2025 - 24 hour closure. The Order is required for SGN works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Glebe Place, Galashiels outside number 44.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Tea Street, Elm Row, Church Street and Glebe Place to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(B7060 YAIR BRIDGE, SELKIRK) (TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2025
The Scottish Borders Council (B7060 Yair Bridge, Selkirk) (Temporary Closing) Order 2025 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:00 on 3 February 2025 and is expected to
remain in effect until 15:00 on 28 February 2025 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required for SPEN works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B7060 at Yair Bridge from the A707 to a point 190 metres east of East Lodge, Selkirk.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the A707, B7014, A7 and B7060 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.
