Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London borough of Bexley, the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Penhill Road from number 28 to the roundabout at the Junction with Blackfen Road, Sidcup (Phase One)
    • Prohibition of traffic in Blendon Road (Road Closure) from and including the Keatslake roundabout to number 7 Penhill Road, Sidcup (Phase Two)
    • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Danson Underpass from the roundabout at the junction with Danson Road up to and including the roundabout junction with Blackfen Road and onto number 485 Blackfen Road, Sidcup (Phase Three)
    • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Blackfen Road from roundabout at junction with Penhill Road up to number 485 Blackfen Road, Sidcup (Phase Four)
    • No waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) as detailed in schedule one of this order.
  2. The Order will come into effect on 3 February 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 10 days.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

    • Phase One - Blendon Road, Bridgen Road, Parkhill Road, Hurst Road, Penhill Road and reverse
    • Phase Two Traffic travelling towards Sidcup, Blackfen or Bexley - Blendon Road, Bridgen Road, Parkhill Road, Hurst Road, Station Road, Halfway Street, Willersley Avenue, The Oval, Wellington Avenue, Blackfen Road
    • Phase Two Traffic travelling Welling or Bexleyheath bound - Penhill Road, Hurst Road, Station Road, Halfway Street, Willersley Avenue, The Oval, Wellington Avenue, Blackfen Road
    • Phase Three Traffic coming from Bexleyheath towards Sidcup - Danson Road, Crook Log, Broadway, Albion Road, Townley Road, Arbuthnot Lane, Bridgen Road, Blendon Road
    • Phase Three Traffic heading towards Bexleyheath Blackfen and Bexley - Blackfen Road, Westwood Lane, Hook Lane, Churchfield Road, Bellegrove Road, Welling High Street, Park View Road, Crook Log, Broadway, Albion Road, Townley Road, Arbuthnot Lane, Bridgen Road, Blendon Road
    • Phase Four - Penhill Road, Hurst Road, Station Road, Halfway Street, Willersley Avenue, The Oval, Wellington Avenue, Blackfen Road
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Baugh Road, Sidcup

Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable highway improvement works by a Council contractor on behalf of London Borough of Bexley, the effects of which will be the introduction of:

    • Prohibition of traffic on Baugh Road, Sidcup from the junction with Rectory Lane to the junction with the Private Car Park (Baugh House), Baugh Road, Sidcup
    • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Baugh Road, Sidcup from the junction with Rectory Lane to the junction with the Private Car Park (Baugh House), Baugh Road, Sidcup
  2. The Order will come into effect on 31 January 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 nights.

  3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be provided. Baugh Road is a dead end. Access to be always maintained.

  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

The Bexley (Falconwood Station) (Parking Places) (Amendment No. 5) Traffic Order 2025

  1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley have on 27 January 2025 made the above titled Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.

  2. The general effect of the above-mentioned Amendment Orders would be to amend the Bexley (Falconwood Station) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018:

    • Reduce the existing Resident Permit Parking Bay in front of No. 56 Lingfield Road Falconwood by 5.0 metres
    • The removed section of parking bay which currently operates between 10.00am and 11.00pm, Monday to Friday will be replaced with a single yellow line restriction of ‘10.00am and 11.00pm Monday to Friday’.
    • There is a loss of a single parking place
  3. Copies of the Order which becomes operational on 3 February 2025, the corresponding Parent Order (and the Orders that have amended that Order); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order and plans which indicate the length of roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT.

  • Persons desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the day on which the Order were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

    Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025

    Dale Road and Dale Close, Crayford

    Notice of Intention

    1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

      • Prohibition of traffic on Dale Road from No. 24 to the junction with Heath Road, Crayford
      • Prohibition of traffic on Dale Close, Crayford (entire length of the road)
      • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Dale Road, Crayford from No. 24 to the junction with Heath Road, Crayford
      • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition in Dale Close, Crayford (entire length of the road)

        • Restrictions to be removed when not required.
    2. The Order will come into effect on 12 February 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 5 weeks.

    3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

      • Dale Road, Crayford

        • Heath Road, Valley Road, Dale Road, and reverse
      • Dale Close, Crayford

        • Access to be always maintained for residents and emergency vehicles.
    4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

    5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

    1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable essential works to maintain the water network by OnSite Central Limited on behalf of Thames Water, the effects of which will be the introduction of:

      • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Thanet Road from number 49 to the junction with South Road, Erith
      • No waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) in Thanet Road from number 49 to the junction with South Road, Erith
    2. The Order will come into effect on 3 February 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.

    3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:

      • Thanet Road, Larner Road, Dell View Road, South Road
      • South Road, Queens Road, South Road, Dell View Road, Larner Road, Thanet Road

    1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, to enable an alteration to service outside and opposite No. 7 Lavernock Road, Bexleyheath by Southern Gas Networks, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:

      • Prohibition of traffic from 7 to 9 and 74 to 78 Lavernock Road, Bexleyheath
      • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition from 64 to 76 Lavernock Road, Bexleyheath (both sides of the road)
    2. The Order will come into effect on 10 February 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 5 days.

    3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

      • Wenvoe Avenue, Swanbridge Road, St Audrey Avenue and vice versa
    4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

    5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

    The Bexley (Bus Parking Places)(Amendment No. xx) Traffic Order 2025

    The Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. xx) Traffic Order 2025

    1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.

    2. The general effect of the Bexley (Bus Parking Places)(Amendment No. xx) Traffic Order 2025 would be to:

      • Introduce a bus parking place that operates Mon-Fri 7.30am-4.30pm to Halt Robin Road outside of the entrance to Cornerstone School.
    3. The general effect of the Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No xx) Traffic Order 2024 would be to:

      • Introduce a length of ‘Mon – Fri 7.30am – 4.30pm’ no waiting restrictions to the south side of Halt Robin Road, outside of the school entrance to Cornerstone School.
      • Note: In addition to the above restrictions, a school keep clear marking will be added outside of the school entrance.
    4. Copies of the proposed Order, the corresponding Parent Order (and the Orders that have amended that Order); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and plans which indicate the length of roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT.
