THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS LOCATIONS, DARLEY DALE) (PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS OF
WAITING AND STOPPING) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that, on Thursday the 23rd January 2025 Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on Monday the 3rd February 2025 and its effect is:
TO PROHIBIT WAITING AT ANY TIME BY VEHICLES (EXCEPT THOSE DELIVERING OR COLLECTING GOODS OR LOADING AND UNLOADING) ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Bakewell Road, Matlock
North-east side
From its junction with Morledge in a north-westerly direction, for a distance of 34.5 metres.
East side
From its junction with Morledge in a southerly direction, for a distance of 7 metres.
From a point 46 metres south of its junction with Morledge in a southerly direction, for a distance of 21.5 metres.
Morledge, Matlock
North-west side
From its junction with Bakewell Road in a north-easterly direction, for a distance of 38 metres.
From a point 62.5 metres north-east of its junction with Bakewell Road in a north-easterly direction, for a distance of 100 metres.
South-east side
From its junction with Bakewell Road in a north-easterly direction, for a distance of 159.5 metres.

From its junction with Dale Road North in a north-easterly direction, to a point 10 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerbline of Oddford Lane.

Exemptions have been made for vehicles used in connection with any building operation or demolition; removal of any obstruction to traffic; carrying out of statutory powers or as part of a funeral or wedding cortege. The usual exemptions for disabled persons’ vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s badge also apply.
TO RESTRICT STOPPING BY VEHICLES on School Keep Clear Monday to Friday, 8am to 10am and 2:30pm to 4:30pm ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Church Road, Churchtown
South-west side
From a point 10 metres south-east of the gates to Abbey House and Farm in a south-easterly direction, for a distance of 51.5 metres.
Greenaway Lane, Darley Dale
North-west side
From a point 53 metres south-west of its junction with Old School Close in a south-westerly direction, for a distance of 51.5 metres.
The following restriction is made under Regulations issued by the Secretary of State and contained within The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 (as amended).
TO PROHIBIT STOPPING BY VEHICLES ON BUS STOP CLEARWAY AT ANY TIME ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Bakewell Road, Matlock
East side
From a point 7 metres south of its junction with Morledge in a southerly direction, for a distance of 39 metres.
West side
The bus stop opposite 138 Bakewell Road in a southerly direction, for a distance of 39 metres.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, at Matlock Library, Steep Turnpike, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3DP during opening hours and on request by emailing place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk (quoting reference Z3211) until 6 weeks after the Order is made until 6th March 2025.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 23rd January 2025 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
