(Bridge 1413, Newbridge Hill, West Bergholt)

(7.5 tonne Environmental Weight Restriction) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

Effect of the order:

To Revoke:

(i) The existing (1973) 5 tonne weight restriction on 'so much of Chitts Hill as carried by New Bridge over the River Colne' in the City of Colchester, (from a point in line with the extended southern kerb line of the junction of Argents Lane north for approximately 13.0 metres and then north east for approximately 22 metres).

(ii) The existing (1983) 7.5 tonne weight restriction between its junction with Heath Road and its junction with Cooks Hall Road.

The Borough of Colchester (New Bridge) (Weight Restriction) Order 1973 and The Colchester (Newbridge Hill, West Bergholt) (Weight Restriction) Order 1983 are hereby revoked

(Footpath 11 (Brooms Crossing), Marks Tey)

(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 11 (Brooms Crossing), Marks Tey in the Borough of Colchester, from its junction with footpath 12, south for approximately 377 metres to footpath 25.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 01 February 2025 to 19 March 2025 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footpath crossing upgrade works are undertaken.

No diversion available.

The Order will come into effect on 01 February 2025 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Beaumont Road, Great Oakley)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beaumont Road, Great Oakley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Wix Road to its junction with Red Barn Lane a distance of approximately 500m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2355026-EH2378019 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching and kerbing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Cross Hill, Harwich Road, Landermere Road, High Street, Colchester Road, Tendring Road, Thorpe Road, The Street, School Road, The Green, Heath Road, Mistley Road, Clacton Road, Horsley Cross Roundabout, A120, Colchester Road, Harwich Road, Oakley Road, Wix Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 31st January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Flories Road, Great Tey)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Flories Road, Great Tey in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Baldwin Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310755121 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Earls Colne Road, Newbarn Road and vice versa (with access only into Burnthouse Road, Flories Road, Brook House Road).

The Order will come into effect on 30th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Headgate, Colchester)

(Temporary Introduction of Banned Right Hand Turn) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 'no right hand turn' restriction from Headgate, Colchester into St Johns Street, Colchester. The restriction is scheduled to commence on 18th February 2025 for 1 night (22:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD03163168446 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

The Order will come into effect on 30th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Melrose Road, West Mersea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Melrose Road, West Mersea in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Yorick Avenue for a distance of approximately 80m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG1WV49Z - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Melrose Road, Barfield Road, High Street and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 30th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(School Road, Langham)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Road, Langham in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 75m north west then south west of its junction with Wick Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th February 2025 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231012257 - GTM). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while surfacing works are undertaken by GTM.

An alternative route is available via Moor Road, Langham Lane, Park Lane, Wick Road and vice versa (with access only into School Road).

The Order will come into effect on 30th January 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, City of Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.3) 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of roads and those in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 30th January 2025, exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Vineyard Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with St Botolphs Street for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 18th February 2025 for 1 night (18:30-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD03164997348 -Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains fitting works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

(Brook Street, Dedham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Brook Street, Dedham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Manningtree Road for a distance of approximately 250m in a north westerly direction.

2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 3rd February 2025 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2351230A - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while SWAS repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Colchester Road, Elmstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close that length of Colchester Road, Elmstead in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Oatlands for a distance of approximately 50m in a westerly direction.

2. To temporarily introduct a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' restriction in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.

"The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time" restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Layer Marney in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 150m north east of its junction with Smythes Green for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 3rd February 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310763495 - Anglian Water).
