Main Road, Ravenshead - Temporary Prohibition of Driving For Gas Mains Replacement Works
What is happening?

(B6020 Main Road, Ravenshead) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2025 (G25-013)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Ravenshead in the Borough of Gedling. The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding (east bound only) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. B6020 Main Road, Ravenshead - from a point 110 metres East of its junction with Low Street for a distance of 225 metres in an easterly direction
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (east bound only) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. B6020 Main Road, Ravenshead - from a point 110 metres East of its junction with Low Street for a distance of 225 metres in an easterly direction
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 07:00 hours Thursday 6th February 2025 Until 17:00 hours Wednesday 5th March 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: B6020 Main Road - B6020 Fishpool Road - B6020 Main Street -B6020 Mansfield Road - B6020 Warsop Lane - B6020 Southwell Road East - A617 Fountaindale Way East - A60 Nottingham Road and vice versa The Order will come into force on 6th February 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out.
The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Cadent Gas to carry out gas mains replacement works.
