ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED

THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS

PENSHURST ROAD, THORNTON HEATH

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms blockage clearance works on behalf of Virgin Media, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Penshurst Road, Thornton Heath.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place parking will be temporarily restricted outside Nos. 84 to 88 Penshurst Road and waiting and loading restrictions will apply “at any time”.

  3. The Order will come into operation on 28 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in two days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  4. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

  5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) a vehicle involved in the said work.

    (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.

PROGRESS WAY, CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate high voltage cable works by UK Power Solutions, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic in Progress Way.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Progress Way will be closed between its junction with Beddington Farm Road and the goods entrance to Furniture Village, at No. 222 Purley Way.

  3. During the closure, the diversion routes for traffic will be via Commerce Way, Purley Way, and Beddington Farm Road, or via Beddington Farm Road, Ampere Way, Faraday Way, Purley Way, and Commerce Way.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 23 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 05 February 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

    (b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

MOFFAT ROAD, THORNTON HEATH

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate sewer repairs on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to introduce traffic and parking restrictions in Moffat Road.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

    a) Moffat Road will be closed between its junction with Westbrook Road and the common boundary of Nos. 165 and 165a Moffat Road.

    b) Waiting and loading restrictions prohibiting parking and loading and operating “at any time” will be introduced on the north-west (odd-numbered side) of Moffat Road between the common boundaries of Nos. 149 and 151 and Nos. 163 and 165 Moffat Road, and on the south-east (even-numbered side) between the common boundaries of Nos. 168 and 178 and Nos. 176 and 178 Moffat Road.

  3. The Order will come into operation on 24 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within two days. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced if further work is required.

  4. During the closure the diversion route for traffic will be via Moffat Road, Layard Road, Livingstone Road and vice versa.

  5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (b) any vehicle carrying out the said work.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

SUSSEX ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate new electrical service connection works on behalf of UKPN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Sussex Road.

  2. Whilst the said works are taking place Sussex Road will be closed eastbound opposite Nos. 9 to 15 Sussex Road.

  3. Whilst the closure is in place the diversion route for traffic will be via Moreton Road, Croham Road, Selsdon Road, and Sussex Road, as appropriately signed.

  4. The Order will come into operation on 27 January 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 05 February 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

  5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

    (a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

    (b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes.

    (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

BEDDINGTON FARM ROAD, BENSON ROAD, COURT DRIVE, TROJAN WAY & VICARAGE ROAD

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

  1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate water main replacement works on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in the roads listed in paragraphs 2 and 3 below.

  2. Whilst the said work is taking place the roads below will be closed as detailed:

  • During the works, parking will be suspended in the roads below and waiting and loading restrictions will apply “at any time” as and when signs are displayed:

    • Beddington Farm Road

    • Benson Road

    • Court Drive

    • Trojan Way

    • Vicarage Road

  • When the closures are in force, the alternative routes for traffic will be as detailed below. Trench ramps will be in use for these works to maintain emergency access and resident access to properties.

    • Benson Road – Access maintained.

    • Court Drive – Via The Ridgeway and Waddon Court Road.

    • Vicarage Road – Via Kemble Road.

    • The Order will come into operation on 06 February 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed by the end of June 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for a maximum duration of 18 months to be reintroduced if further work is required.

    • These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

      (a) a vehicle being used to carry out the said work.

      (b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

      (c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

      MARDEN CRESCENT & SHAMROCK ROAD, THORNTON HEATH

      TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING

      1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate water service pipe repairs on behalf of Thames Water, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit traffic and parking in Marden Crescent and Shamrock Road, Thornton Heath.

      2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

        a) Marden Crescent will be closed westbound between its junctions with Marden Road and Thornton Road.

        b) Shamrock Road will be closed eastbound between the vehicular entrance to Thornton Road Industrial Estate and its junction with Thornton Road.

        c) Parking on the south (odd-numbered) side of Marden Crescent will be suspended between its junctions with Marden Road and Thornton Road.

      3. Whilst the closures remain in force the alternative routes for diverted traffic will be via Aurelia Road, Mitcham Road and Thornton Road (for the eastbound closure of Shamrock Road), and via Marden Road, Boston Road and Thornton Road (for the westbound closure of Marden Crescent).

      4. The Order will come into operation on 10 February 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 12 February 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

      WINDERMERE ROAD, COULSDON

      TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING

      1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works on behalf of SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Windermere Road, Coulsdon.

      2. Whilst the said works are taking place parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply “at any time” in the parking places on the south-eastern (even-numbered) side of Windermere Road between the common boundary of Nos. 38 and 40 Windermere Road and the cul-de-sac at the south-western end of Windermere Road.

      3. The Order will come into operation on 10 February 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 10 March 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.

      4. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

        5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

        (a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
