MAE GWEINIDOGION CYMRU wedi gwneud Gorchymyn o dan adran 14 o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984. Mae angen y Gorchymyn am fod gwaith yn cael ei wneud ar draffordd yr M4, neu gerllaw iddi, rhwng Cyffordd 34 (Meisgyn), Rhondda Cynon Taf a Chyffordd 49 (Pont Abraham), Sir Gaerfyrddin.

Effaith y Gorchymyn yw gwahardd dros dro bob cerbyd, ac eithrio’r rhai a ddefnyddir gan y gwasanaethau brys ac ar gyfer y gwaith, rhag mynd ar ddarnau penodedig o draffordd yr M4 o fewn y darnau cyfan a ddisgrifir yn yr Atodlen i’r Hysbysiad hwn pan fydd angen gwneud gwaith mewn safle penodol. Disgrifir y llwybrau eraill yn yr Atodlen hefyd.

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 27 Ionawr 2025. Disgwylir y bydd y gwaharddiad dros dro yn weithredol yn ysbeidiol dros nos (20:00 – 06:00 o’r gloch) o 27 Ionawr 2025 am gyfnod o 18 mis ar y mwyaf. Pan fo’n bosibl, bydd hysbysiad ynghylch gwaharddiad yn cael ei arddangos wythnos cyn cau darn penodedig o’r draffordd. Bydd hysbysiad am unrhyw newidiadau i’r amseroedd/dyddiadau yn cael ei arddangos hefyd cyn dechrau unrhyw waith a ailamserlennir.

Taf To Junction 49 (Pont Abraham), Carmarthenshire) (Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicles) Order 2025

THE WELSH MINISTERS have made an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the M4 motorway between Junction 34 (Miskin), Rhondda Cynon Taf and Junction 49 (Pont Abraham), Carmarthenshire.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all vehicles, other than those being used by the emergency services and for the works, from proceeding on specified lengths of the M4 motorway within the overall lengths described in the Schedule to this Notice when work is required at a particular site. The alternative route arrangements are also described in the Schedule.

The Order comes into force on 27 January 2025. The temporary prohibition is expected to operate intermittently overnight (20:00 hours – 06:00 hours), from 27 January 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. Whenever possible, notice of a prohibition will be displayed one week before the closure of a specified length of the motorway. Notice of any changes to times/dates will also be displayed before any rescheduled work begins.

SCHEDULE
Temporary prohibition of vehicles

The lengths of the westbound and eastbound carriageways of the M4 motorway between Junction 34 (Miskin), Rhondda Cynon Taf and Junction 49 (Pont Abraham), Carmarthenshire including all westbound and eastbound exit and entry slip roads between these junctions.

Alternative route arrangements

The alternative routes will be indicated with appropriate diversion signs and will vary depending on destination and when a particular length of the M4 is temporarily closed to traffic.

Alternative routes will be available via the main M4 (both carriageways), A4232, A48, A473, A4229, A4241, B4286, A4107, A474, A465, A4230, A4067, A483, A484 and A4138, as appropriate.
