Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.

Temporary One Way Road Closure Order On Morledge Temporary Suspension Of Left Turn Order On Traffic Street Temporary Suspension Of Right Turn Order On The Cock Pitt, Derby

WHEN: 27 January 2025 to 31 January 2025 (Daily: 20.00 to 05.00) Overnight Only 

WHERE: No entry to Morledge at its junction with Traffic Street and The Cock Pitt. Traffic will be allowed One way east bound from the Bus Station entrance to its junction with Traffic Street and The Cock Pitt. Traffic Street, Left turn suspension into Morledge, the Cock Pitt, Right turn suspension into Morledge 

REASON: Construction work

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Traffic Street North bound – The Cock Pitt – via Bus Station car park – Morledge And St Alkmunds Way South bound – The Cock Pitt – via Bus Station car park – Morledge And Station Approach – The Cock Pitt – via Bus Station car park – Morledge Buses only – Siddals Road – The Cock Pitt via Bus Station car park – Morledge


Temporary Road Closure Order On Albert Street, The Strand, Victoria Street And Wardwick, Derby

WHEN: 27 January 2025 to 13 February 2025 (20:00 to 05:00 Daily – Overnight) 

WHERE: Albert Street, from its junction with Victoria Street to its junction with Morledge and Tennant Street The Strand, from its junction with Cheapside to its junction with Wardwick Victoria Street, from its junction with Albert Street to its junction with the Wardwick, Wardwick from its junction with Victoria Street and The Strand to its junction with Curzon Street 

REASON: Construction work

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Cheapside – Bold Lane – Jury Street – Walker Lane – Cathedral Road – Ford Street (A601) – Stafford Street – Mercian Way – Lara Croft Way – Bradshaw Way – Traffic Street – Morledge


Temporary Road Closure Order On Raynesway, Derby

WHEN: 29 January 2025 to 12 February 2025 (Daily: 22:00 to 06:00 – Mon to Sat Overnight Only)

WHERE: Raynesway (Northbound), from the Derby Road/Acorn Way/Raynesway Roundabout for a distance of approximately 600 metres Raynesway (Southbound), from the Derby Road/Acorn Way/Raynesway Roundabout to its junction with Aspen Drive – a distance of approximately 200 metres 

REASON: Construction work 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Raynesway (Northbound): A5111 Raynesway – A52 Westbound – The Pentagon – Nottingham Road – Derby Road Raynesway (Southbound): Derby Road – Nottingham Road – The Pentagon – A52 Eastbound – A5111 Raynesway

Temporary Road Closure Order On Derby Road (Service Road), Derby

WHEN: 27 January 2025 to 31 Jan 2025 WHERE: Derby Road (Service Road), outside number 281

REASON: Construction works 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Derby Road (Service Road) – Eden Road – Derby Road – Derby Road (Service Road) and the same in the opposite direction 

Derby City Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.


Temporary Road Closure Order On East Service Road And West Service Road, Derby

WHEN: 10 February 2025 to 21 March 2025

WHERE: East Service Road, from its junction with West Service Road to its junction with Megaloughton Way And West Service Road, from its junction with East Service Road for a distance of approximately 100 metres 

REASON: New water mains installation

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: East Service Road – Megaloughton Way – Celanese Road – Holme Lane – Station Road – Derby Road (west) – Spondon Roundabout – Derby Road – Raynesway (southbound) – Slip Road to Raynesway Park Roundabout – A5111 – Circumnavigate Roundabout – Raynesway (northbound) – West Service Road And East Service Road – Raynesway (southbound) – Slip Road to Raynesway Park Roundabout – A5111 – Circumnavigate Roundabout – Raynesway (northbound) – West Service Road And West Service Road – Raynesway (northbound) – Derby Road (east) – Spondon Roundabout – Derby Road – Station Road – Holme Lane – Celanese Road – Megaloughton Way – East Service Road

This Notice is given under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.


Temporary 30mph Speed Limit Reduction Order On Station Road, Mickleover, Derby

WHEN: 13 January 2025 to 28 February 2025 WHERE: Station Road, Mickleover – from its junction with Onslow Road to it junction with Spinneybrook Way. An approximate distance of 300 metres.

REASON: Installation of new Pedestrians crossing 

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will be re-opened as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

Derby City Council (Colyear Street) (Special Events Road Closure) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.69) Order 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Derby City Council proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III if schedule 9 to the 1984 Act proposes to make the following Order.

The purpose of the Order will be to introduce:
Proposed prohibition of driving of motor vehicles, exemption 1, relating to events at Becketwell Live performance venue
• Colyear Street
A copy of the proposed Order together with maps which show the definitive extents of the proposal, a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for proposing the Order and the Order being amended, may be inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro

Derby City Council (Drury Avenue) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.128) Order 2024 Derby City Council (Drury Avenue) (Moving Vehicle Restriction) (Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.61) Order 2024
