MICRO ASPHALT PROJECT – VARIOUS ROADS IN BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH & POOLE

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the details described below, to facilitate works.

WHAT: Roads closed to all vehicles – suspension of parking – no waiting and no loading/ unloading at any time, will be permitted. Any vehicles left obstructing the works risk receiving a Penalty Charge Notice or being removed. Works are anticipated to take place from 8am until 6pm each day apart from Columbia Road which will take place from 9am to 3pm.

Nansen Avenue, Poole – anticipated dates: 6 to 7 February 2025

Roman Road, Poole from its junction with Lancaster Drive to its junction with Abbotsbury Road – anticipated dates: 7 to 8 February 2025

Gainsborough Road, Bournemouth – anticipated date: 8 February 2025

Beaulieu Road, Bournemouth – anticipated date: 9 February 2025

Branksome Dene Road, Bournemouth – anticipated dates:

9 to 10 February 2025

Baker Road, Bournemouth – anticipated date: 10 February 2025

Durlston Crescent, Christchurch – anticipated date: 11 February 2025

Hillside Drive, Christchurch – anticipated dates: 11 to 14 February 2025

Northmead Drive, Poole – anticipated dates: 17 to 18 February 2025

Westminster Road, Poole from its junction with The Avenue to its junction with Pinewood Road – anticipated date: 19 February 2025

Pinewood Road, Poole – anticipated dates: 19 to 20 February 2025

Withermoor Road, Bournemouth – anticipated dates: 21 to 22 February 2025

Bengal Road, Bournemouth – anticipated date: 22 February 2025

Kitchener Crescent, Poole – anticipated dates: 22 to 23 February 2025

Holloway Avenue, Bournemouth – anticipated dates: 23 to 25 February 2025

Moore Avenue, Bournemouth – anticipated dates: 25 to 28 February 2025

Columbia Road, Bournemouth – anticipated dates: 3 to 6 March 2025 (9am to 3pm)

WHY: To enable Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council to carry out micro asphalt resurfacing works

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on safety. Residents will be notified by letter regarding access.

DIVERSION: Via signed routes.

These arrangements may be amended/extended depending on weather conditions/delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this order for up to 18 months but will only be enforced with the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Council regrets any inconvenience to the public caused by this traffic order.
